"Do I?" (Trilogy to "Do You Trust Me?")

Chapter Three: Murder Mystery

Jeff's POV

I wake up in the morning, only to realize that Lilly isn't in my bed anymore. "Lilly!" I shout immediately, ripping off my face mask and running out of the room, shirtless, and in pajama pants. I run downstairs only to find Splendor and Trender playing with her. I growl and walk over tapping my foot. "Jeff's awake?" Trender asks. "Apparently I am. Now, explain why you have my daughter in your lap without my acknowledgement." I demand, irritated that they had taken her from me, once again. "Jeff, you needed your rest, you've been working your butt off lately." Splendor states with a smile.

I sigh and look down at Lilly to make sure she's okay. "Jeff, she's fine. We're taking care of her. We are her uncles after all." Trender says getting a little annoyed. "Sorry guys. It's just that she's all that I have left of Rose."

Right then, Slender walks down the stairs, dressed in casual clothes instead of a suit. "Wrong child. You have your memories of her." he says, looking over at me I presume. "Yeah Jeffy! You have your memories!" Sally yells with him, making Lilliana laugh. "You're right. I shouldn't be so uptight. But come one, she's my daughter, the least you could've done was leave me note." I say looking at the two guilty uncles. "You're right, and we are very sorry." is all Trender says. I nod my head forgiving them. I lean down and kiss Lilly's cheek making her smile and pull my hair a little, causing me to chuckle. "I'll see you soon Lilly. Daddy's going for a walk." I whisper in her ear. She just smiles.

I walk upstairs and get dressed before grabbing my knife and walking outside, after telling Slender to tell Trender and Splendor that I'll be out for a little bit. Once I'm away from the mansion, I sit down beneath a tree and rest my head on my knees. "Times like these, I wish I had my eye lids." I mutter, feeling teals prick at my eyes. After around ten minutes, they go away, and I start to walk back to the mansion. Once there, Slender calls me up to his office. Inside, sit EJ, Ben, and himself, all of them radiating a curious vibe.

"Jeff, please have a seat and lock the door behind you." Slender says, his voice strict and stern. I do so. Once I'm seated, Slender goes on. "Now Jeff, when Rose passed away, there was something that she said to you. You even told us that night, later on that there was something. But, you've never told us. Jeff, I need to know what she said, so maybe, just maybe, I can solve a puzzle I'm working on related to her death." he finishes looking at me. The other two are looking at me to.

"Why should I tell you again? So you can search up some things and not know what the hell is going on?" I ask slowly getting pissed off. "Jeff, just tell him for crying out loud. If you do, I'll eat Fruity Pebbles or something." EJ says in disgust. I look over at him, sticking my middle finger up. "Jeff, this is for yours and Lilly's sake." Ben mentions, trying to calm me down. "Fine. You want to know what she said that's been haunting me for the passed year? She said, "Do you trust me?" right before she took her last breath." I hiss at all three of them.

"Didn't you say that to her at some point?"

FLASHBACK

"Do you trust me?" I had asked her. "Jeff, I can't trust you. You've hurt me to much..." was her answer.

FLASHBACK END

"So what? I may have." I state staring at Slender with hate in my eyes. "Where were you when you said it, and, what was happening around that time?" he asks, more like demands. "Well, we were in her living room. It was before she was a full Creepy Pasta, still sane. She was at her mother's house, and the night before she killed her mother and she thought that I did it, and didn't trust me."

Within a matter of seconds Slender is up and pacing. "So, she used your own words against you, when she was taking her last breath. You asked if she trusted you based off of your persona. So, we can only think that she meant the same thing. Eventually, she found you, and thought that she killed Jane, in reality, injured her. She was the one who killed her mother, even though she thought that it was you. Jane came back, and was here for your wedding, and the birth of Lilly. She was also here when the attack happened. Overall, Jane is in both areas. Now, we need to piece this together." Slender rambles on.

"Woah. Woah. Woah. Are you saying that Jane had something to do with the death of Rose?" Ben asks, just as skeptical as I was. "Well, it makes a little sense to me. I mean, she was there when she saved Jeff. Rose tried killing Jane. Jane could have wanted revenge. But, why would Jane wait until the child was a week old? She could have done something when you guys were about to be wed, or after Rose became pregnant. So, there has to be something a little bit farther beyond Jane that we're missing." EJ states, now, pacing with Slender, both thinking. Just then, Jane walks in. "Are you saying that I had something to do with my friends death? Because I didn't. If I had something against her, she would've been dead by the time I came back."

"We're just merely tossing out ideas." Slender says looking at her, before pacing again. "Her death always did seem a little weird. No normal forty humans' would be able to find the mansion all together. Plus, the way that they broke up into groups, seemed a little premeditated. Like, they were put there." Jane mentions. I nod my head in agreement.

"Lady and Gentlemen, it looks like we have a murder mystery in our hands." Slender says, grabbing a bunch of files and placing a copy of them all in our hands.
