Chapter 20 - Stabs and Cure

Y/n and Hoseok were going through various medical text books... Namjoon and Taehyung were asked to run few tests on Mr. Min... Jimin was called in the emergency room...

After they sent the blood samples to the lab... Taehyung and Namjoon came back to the library... "Hey, do you both need something to eat?" Taehyung asked which both Y/n and Hoseok their heads while their eyes were still glued on his text books... "At least... Tell us what are you guys looking for... So, we can help you too" this time Namjoon tried to get attention from the best friends...

(A/n: Oh I forgot to mention... Y/n and Hoseok are best friends since med school... Namjoon was her/his crush and Yoongi was her/his senior... You know I was planning a Prequel for Y/n and Namjoon's story but there won't be Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin in that story... So, I don't know whether I should do it or not🥲😅)

Y/n sighed and made an eye contact with Namjoon "I guess we won't need a help until with put this theory in work" Namjoon and Taehyung's eyes grew wide and the younger among all said "OMG you guys found out what is wrong with Mr. Min?" Hoseok nodded his head "Yeah, we all know that he is dying from Sepsis, right? And his Organs are failing as a result of an infection" Y/n continued "and Hoseok wasn't able to find the source of infection... and I think that is because Infection is not affecting him"

Namjoon arched an eyebrow at Y/n "What are you trying to imply Dr. Kim?" Y/n rolled his/her eyes at the formal wordings of her/his Husband... "What I am trying to say Dr. Kim Namjoon is that I think Dr. Min have bacterial infection... and a bacteriophage"

Taehyung gasped loudly "holy shit... You both are trying to say is infection and phage is attacking each other" Y/n and Hoseok gave him a nod "then why hasn't one of them won out yet?" Hoseok cleared his throat before he started speaking "well it is said that if both have strong defenses and large enough populations then both can fight even and keeps growing"

Y/n gulped holding back her/his tears and said "if our theory is right... then there is a full war going on and Uncle's body has turned into a battleground" Namjoon massaged his temples "this explains all the symptoms, right? That bloody cough, headache, chest pain" Hoseok shook his head "Nope, I mean yes, these symptoms are result of the war but they are all secondry and not as strong as you expect"

Taehyung scratched the back of his head "So, you are trying to say is Mr. Min is dying due to collateral damage?" Y/n gave him a weak smile with a slight nod "precisely, Sepsis is his immune system's reaction because of the war... Dr. Kim Taehyung can you please run some more test to find out the strain of the bacteria?"

"I want YOU" Jihyung said with an evil smirk on his disgusting face... Jungkook took few steps back "What the fuck are you saying... Just tell me where are my kids" the younger male was trying his best the sound as confident as possible... But only he knows how frightened and shaken he is from the inside... Also, every time Jihyung laughs... Jungkook's stomach rumbles making him want to throw up... All he was feeling right now was Pain...

"You have grown even more beautiful than I last saw you Baby Koo... You look like a full course meal and snacks on the side" Jihyung said while licking his lips and if not before Jungkook seriously wants to puke right now...
