Chapter 29 - What meets the eye

It was 4 in the morning... Taehyung and Jimin were talking to the patient who got admitted 15 minutes ago...

Name: Yun Ae-Cha

Admitted for: Sudden blindness

"Hello Mrs. Yun... we are your Doctors Kim Taehyung and Park Jimin" the old lady smiled and greeted both the young doctors... "Ma'am can you tell us more about yourself and when did you lost your eyesight"

Ae-Cha nodded "I am a painter... And yesterday night l lost my vision... That's pretty much it" Taehyung hummed but before he could ask something more Jimin said "Your medical records show that you are suffering from peripheral artery disease in the limbs" yet again Ae-Cha gave a nod "yes, it's been quite a while since I started taking medications for my leg cramps... You know how artist's life is... We have to stand for hours and that usually causes pain in the limbs"

(Peripheral artery disease also called as peripheral vascular disease is a circulatory condition in which narrowed blood vessels reduce blood flow to the limbs...

Peripheral vascular disease is a sign of fatty deposits and calcium building up in the walls of the arteries (atherosclerosis)... Risk factors include ageing, diabetes and smoking...

Symptoms may include leg pain, particularly when walking...

People may experience:

Pain areas: in the buttocks...
Pain circumstances: can occur in the leg and improved with rest or in the leg while exercising...
Skin: cool skin, loss of hair on the legs, thinning of skin on the legs, or ulcers...)

"If you don't mind can we see your work?" Taehyung hesitantly asked but sighed in relief when Ae-Cha gave him a big smile... "Of course you can... I won't be a true artist if I keep my work to myself... Can you pass my phone?" Jimin handed her the phone but her smile fell once she realised that she can't see anything... "Can... Anyone of you open the gallery? It is filled with the pictures of my paintings" Jimin gave her a weak smile which she can't see for sure...

They took the phone from her and started looking through the pictures... "Wow Mrs. Yun... You are an amazing painter" Jimin said being all amazed by her work... Mrs. Yun chuckled "Thank you Doctor" Taehyung was thoroughly looking every single detail of the painting... "What are you look for?" Jimin whispered in his best friend's ear...

"There is always something more than what meets the eye" Taehyung said and Jimin frowned understanding what his best friend actually meant... Taehyung's words are directly related to the revelation of Hoseok and SeokJin's relationship that both Jimin and Taehyung were unaware of... But do they have right to be upset over something that ended long time ago? "Did you had a word with Hobi hyung?" Jimin asked while looking at the picture of Ae-Cha's beautiful painting...

"I tried to but he said whatever happened between him and Hyung is in past and there is no point in discussing something that is long forgotten... They both have move on in their lives and what matters the most is they love their significant others wholeheartedly" Taehyung said with a sigh and Jimin had a tiny smile on his face "then why are you upset about it?" The other male bit his lips "I am upset because Hobi knows everything about me... And even if it's in a past he should have told me about his relationship with Jin Hyung... I felt-"

"Like you were kept in dark for years" Jimin finished Taehyung's sentence... The latter nodded but soon eyes grew wide... "Shit"
