"Yuccaaaaa!" Bumblebee yelled.

"Where are youuuu!" Apollo added.

"We give uppppp!" Bumblebee whined.

I, who had been hiding in a tree blending in with the bright yellow leaves fall time brought, started to giggle.

"Boo!" I yelled swinging down behind the two hanging from a branch with my tail.

"AH!" Shrieked Bumblebee simultaneously with Apollo who yelled "Three moons!" And jumped backwards.

I broke down in hopeless giggles and fell from the tree.

"Oof." I grunted when my wings buds hit the ground hard.

They were already almost fully unfurled because I was only an hour away from my metamorphosis which was today. Apollo had just recently had his metamorphosis and now had very pretty white wings with red accents.

I rolled over onto my stomach. My antenna twitched when I felt the vibrations of footsteps. I saw Apollo's do the same.

We looked over in the direction of the source Bumblebee looking confused.

About 30 seconds later a group of dragons walked over. They were my and Apollo's parents as well as Cricket Bumblebee's adoptive mother.

Bumblebee squealed happily and ran over to them clinging onto her mother. I sat up and walked over to them Apollo behind me.

"What do you wannnnt we were playing hide and seekkkk." I complained.

Goldspot shook her head and chuckled then said, "Yucca it's your metamorphosis in an hour you need to go get ready."

I groaned and plopped myself back onto the ground swishing my tail in a large arc.

"Hey watch it!" Apollo snapped.

Just to mess with him I pointed my tail barb in his direction. He shrieked and ran behind his mother.

Sphinx burst out in laughter. Goldspot was smiling but sent him a warning glare.

"Come on we need to go home and get you prepared you'll be passed out and spinning silk around yourself soon anyway." Goldspot said.

The thing that confused me was that at the mention of silk Goldspot looked worriedly at my wrists.

Curious I glanced down at them and noticed they were softly glowing orange. I hadn't noticed it before because it blended in well with my scales but now that it was darker the orange glow could be seen on the grass.

That... was a bit worrying. Was that supposed to happen? Was it common? Apollo's wrists didn't glow before he went into metamorphosis did they?

Now that I was paying attention to it my wrists felt very warm despite the chilly air surrounding us.

Goldspot started ushering me forward.

"Bye!" I yelled to Bumblebee and Apollo as my mother picked me up and started flying off with me.

"See you at your metamorphosis!" They both yelled back.

I noticed that my wrists had started to get warmer and it was a little uncomfortable. I was getting really tired to my metamorphosis was only about 10 minutes away when we landed at the entrance to our hut.

We went inside and I sat down in giant pile of silk blankets my mother had made. My mother brought me my favorite fruit that I quickly ate since I felt like I was about to pass out.

When I was just fading out of consciousness I heard the door open. Distracting myself with the noise I managed to stay awake.

"Oh thank the moons we didn't miss it!" Bumblebee said.

She ran over and sat next to my blanket pile. Apollo right behind her. Apollo handed me something orange.

It was a honey drop.

"How did you get one of these..?" I mumbled tiredly.

"Erm.. I made it. Now eat it quickly your about pass out!" He said ushering my hands to my mouth.

I bit down on the hard candy. Once I got past it's tough outer layer it was chewy on the inside. It tasted like my favorite type of honey.

As I quickly thanked Apollo I started to fade in and out of consciousness again. The last thing I felt before passing out was a burst of heat from my wrists.

(Ik it's short but it's the first chapter also yay! New book! 686 words btw!)
