13- Hoping For The Best

After a little but longer the class ended and we exited the cave. The rest of the day was pretty normal from there on out.

I got to get to know my Winglet better since we sat next eachother at the break after Scavenger studies.

After that we had Writing and reading with Starflight and the Quartz Winglet but nothing eventful happened.

Then I had power studies because of my Flamesilk (all dragonets with rare powers get placed in power studies) but since I already knew how to use it I just got to hang out.

Blue, Peril, and Moon were all really nice to. I got to talk to them and learn about their pasts and learn things I never knew about them.

Like how Peril was Ex. Queen Scarlet's champion in the battle arena because of her Flamescales and how Moon had helped take down a 2000 year old Nightwing who was a mind reader, prophet, and an animus.

After I left the cave I noticed that the sun was setting and was already fairly invisible behind the mountains.

Kaida had left during the break so I didn't know where she was anymore. I grabbed some left over moose from the prey center for my dinner and snacked on it as I walked back to my cave.

Boa and Bumblebee were in the cave but Boa was asleep and Bumblebee was reading so she didn't notice me.

I grabbed the Birdwing theory scroll from my bag and unrolled it since I hadn't gotten to finish it.

I went to the part of the scroll that told me about the sightings.

The first Birdwing sighting was around 30 years ago (current time roughly 2056 years ago) they had the colors white, red, orange, brown, and yellow.

They were sighted bye a group of young Nightwing dragonets whos names were Hugewings, Secreteller, and Stargazer.

They reported that that the dragon was able to breathe fire but also that it shot silk from it's wrists which is an unheard of power.

The sightings were confirmed to be true by a mind reader named Moonflyer. The second sighting was near the cliffs in the ocean when a group of Seawings were out exploring about 4 years later.

The group of dragons said that there was around 6 of them. They were all different colors but one was said to have a Sandwing tail barb and the other had stingers on their wrists.

Two of them were also reported to have frost breath and one of the others had Rainwing venom. One had fire and the other shot silk from their wrists.

The other dragon was unknown if they had fire, frost, or venom though they were believed to have some type of venom as they caught a bird mid-air and even though they didn't seem to bite hard the bird slowly went limp as the dragons fangs bit into it's wing.

This sighting was again confirmed by a mind reader though their name was unknown.

There was another sighting 6 years later in the form of a vison from a Nightwing named Pathfinder. They said that in the vison the Birdwing was mostly black but was also red, yellow, and purple.

The vison was seemingly very confusing even when shared with the Tribes best mind readers no one could understand it. The details of the vison have been lost overtime.
