"Thank you, come again" the customer left and I turned around to see Raj with crossed arms, leaning against the door to the staff room.
"You know you don't actually have to say that right? Actually no one ever says that. It's normally just a 'bye'" I hop over the counter to change to sign to 'closed' on the door.
"False, Apu says it from Simpsons. And it seemed fun so I tried it" I shrug and Raj rolls his eyes with a playful smile.
"Whatever kid, get out of here before you decide to piss me off even more" I salute to him and take my leave. Thirteen mintues earlier than my shift actually ends.
When I get home I am instantly slammed against the door, I sigh. Already knowing what this is about, "good afternoon to you to, what a pleasant day we are having."
"Don't get smart Levi" Val grits out as his hand tightens around my collar.
"Aw, did you just call me smart" I grin but clearly he's in no mood as he slams me against the door again, making me hit my head. I give a 'ufph' sound out.
"Stop being a dick, Devon told me about your little conversation." I raise my brows at him no doubt looking confused.
"Who's Devon?" I question and he huffs.
"My cousin, you prick. You said you weren't going to pay him back, is that right? For only £20, seriously? Cough it up right now or I swear there will be a Levi sized head shape in this door." I roll my eyes and grab his hand, ripping it off of me.
Yeah the guy is a big lad, he's muscular, he's tough looking, he's tall. But he doesn't scare me, I know how long I can push his buttons before he attacks, he doesn't intimidate me so I'm fine.
"Wait, his name is Devon Domentri? Seriously?" I snort.
He steps forward and I put my hands up, "jee it's a joke, chill. Have you been injecting too much shit lately?" He rolls his eyes but doesn't reply and I raise a brow. Whatever, I don't care if he actually has been, he can waste away for all I care. "I'm not paying him back, end of. I don't have that kind of money to waste."
He huffs out a laugh, "yet you have his money to waste, really? And on gambling on anything? And yeah you do have the money, it's only £20, just dip into the house's money or your next wage. I'm not having you steal from my cousin."
I bite at my lip, feeling my sharp canine dig into it and tasting the matelic taste of blood. "Hm, how come I've never heard of this cousin before, we've been living together for a few years now and I've never seen- or heard of him. Aw, are you ashamed of us?"
He sits down on the couch a puts his feet up on the table, "I do talk about him, you just never pay attention. He's never over here because I go to him- stop distracting me. You are paying him back. That is final."
I give him an innocent look, "okay daddy" he throws a cushion at me and I duck with a laugh, it ends up hitting Emmet as he steps through the door right on time. It falls off of him to reveal his bored fed up looking face.
"Yeah, thanks." Then he's leaving to go upstairs, I watch after him.
"Someone's had a pissy day" I pull a face and notice Val staring at me so I huff, "I'm not paying him back, jeez. It's only £50" oh- uh oh.
He freezes and looks up to me with the deadliest look I've ever seen, "what?" I glance around.
"What?" I try to play dumb. Clearly doesn't work.
"You said it was £20, what the hell is the matter with you?!" I sigh and roll my eyes.
"I don't know, I've been asking myself that for years!" He stands up, "okay let's not be haste. How about I get him free drinks at the club yeah? Then it's fair, even, right as rain" I put my thumbs up and he steps closer to me.
