I look around the mall to see if anyone is looking at me, when there's no one I swipe. Ripping the tag off of a lighter I put it in my pocket, I go to grin but someone taps me on the shoulder and I freeze.
Turning around I see... Devon with a sly smirk, like he caught me red handed, which he did.
I raise a brow at him and look at what he's wearing, a name tag. Which means he works here which means I've stolen from him 3 times in just under a month. That has got to be a new record. "Yes?" I question and he nods down to my hand in my pocket.
"Put it back" I scoff at him and act dumb, putting on an innocent look and my charming smile.
"Whatever do you mean?" I say and he rolls his eyes, sighing deeply.
"I mean the lighter in your pocket but it back or-"
"Or you'll tell on me?" I question with a lazy grin, feeling my eyes flash in irritation as I step towards him.
"Just put it back" he sighs again, seeming like he's fed up of this thing we do oh so often. I have got to start stealing from different people, the only reason I took a lighter was for Val. He started moaning that he lost all of his so I decided to be kind, mind I did steal money from his cousin so it's a least I can do for him.
Besides I don't smoke, never picked up that habit, drinking on the other hand...
"What if I told you it was for your cousin" I grin, showing my teeth. He stares at me for a second until I groan, "ugh, fine" I drop in down where it was and go to turn around to leave, quickly swiping another one that he doesn't see.
"Where do you think you're going?" He questions and I turn back to him with a look.
"Sorry, who are you?" I question, "'cuz you sure as shit aren't talking to me like that" I grin a manic grin and feel the irritation wash over me as it does so often.
He shakes his head and looks away for a second, "stop stealing, stop trying so hard to be a badass. Stop getting in trouble and stay away from Issy, got that?" He says and I almost laugh right in his face.
"You don't know me, stop acting like you do."
"Just get off your high horse for a second, you're a nobody understood? I know guys like you, egotistical and no one has even said no to you in your whole life. Well guess what, you're an adult in the real world. Act like it" I cross my arms after his pathetic mini speech.
Not knowing whether to be offended or proud that the boy has finally found his balls.
"Just get off my back alright? I don't need you in my life I've got enough baggage as it is" I say and shrug a shoulder then leave. I hear him calll after me.
"One day you're going to mess with the wrong person" I look over my shoulder.
"Yeah, I'll look forward to when that day comes" I laugh, shaking my head then I leave. Last time I ever go to the mall, why does he even work here. Why is he everywhere.
I rush out the shops and barge through the doors, he must be stalking me. Yeah that's it, I feel the cold air hit my face and I stop, closing my eyes and taking a breath. Feeling something come over me.
Feeling my finger tips tingle and my head spin, the people in my life say that some times I can be impulsive, dark. Dangerous, some times I just snap. I don't see it though, it must be everyone around me that's the crazy ones.
I open my eyes and see a bike chained up, not my bike. Not at all. I walked to the mall, I got bored and I felt like I had to do something before I start shit, but now I feel like I just want to start shit.
