TRUE FRIENDSHIP IS THE BEST among all relations in the world.

A love based on friendship has additional sweetness. It is only when two people are best friends that the best kind of love grows to exist between them.

It was this same friendship of love that had made a spot in the lives of Ashna and Ivan, bringing them together, so much so that they felt incomplete without one another. Life for one felt warily sad, when not given the presence of the other.

Last one month, everyone that was a college student has been busy with a rush of stress, happiness, sadness and annoyance for some, and competitive feelings that exams brought. The past two weeks were when the Bachelor of Arts students' exams were scheduled.

In studies, worry, and constant up and down, to college and cybercafes, to clear dues, get admit cards, and finally write the papers was how these days went by.

There was more thrill to them for the sake that they were the first proper offline examinations held after the lockdown and the coronavirus that had plagued the world.

Ashna and Ivan were both students of B.A., but their subjects and motives differed. While Ashna wanted to study the subjects she chose and build a career out of it. Ivan studied and pursued the course for just the sake of it. History and Political Science were common, but they differed in Geography and Sociology.

The centre of examination of Ashna was in her college, as is mostly provided for female candidates, and luckily or commonly, Ivan's centre of examination was the same. DMV, Ashna's college.

During the period of exams, when most people maintained attendance even if they were the ones who did not attend classes, Ashna and Ivan maintained the least contact withinside the college.

It was odd yet most fun, as the two of them were to reunite ten minutes after they had greeted every one of common acquaintances goodbye.

During these two weeks, on every common day of their exams, they would barely say hello or talk two words at the convenience stand as they feared someone from their school or an old classmate or a friend would see them together.

This was basically to avoid any knowledge of their relationship. Especially from classmates from school, who had enrolled in courses from the same University, and were there to take exams.

Not necessarily, for any specific reason, as they were only friends, but they know, they were not just friends but the best of friends, partners even, and they both loved each other, even if they did not yet say it to each other; but to only avoid any teasing that friends normally bring, if and when, they are suspicious, or to avoid any unwanted questions which may arise.

As they barely had any contacts in school. And for Ivan to befriend a lady was something his friends considered worth paying attention to, given his avoidance of female contact through the last years of his school, since he joined the school after the transfer of his father to the city.

It might even come as shocking to his friends and their common friends from school when that girl is Ashna, the topper of the school. With the way he is with Ashna though, they must be very surprised.

Also, both of them did not at all want their togetherness to be revealed to their parents as especially did Ashna, as they both knew how it was in her family. And the more people knew, the more chances there were for the tea to spill.

Lastly, this is something, providently, common for boys and girls to hide in a small place like this which is full of people who are judgemental and narrow-minded, if and when a boy and a girl seem to be having a relationship something more than friends or even basic acquaintances, but particularly of lovers.
