To live to be someone's pride is a hard thing

"Give these files to Mr. Miller and get me the audit files of last year" Y/n handed the files to Chloe and turned to another stack of files. She has been working continuously for the last week. "These have to be completed by today evening" Chloe hands were already full with the files. She placed them on her table before grabbing remaining files from Y/n. she decided to take two trips as files were a lot.

"Careful" she heard Hoseok tells making her loose her balance in surprise. He grabbed her waist to stable her. "What are these?" he took some files from her to help. "Y/n asked me to give this finance department" he checked the files sighed. "Did she go home last night?" she shook her head making him sigh again. It has been a week she has been working in office. She sleeps in her office on the couch. "I am worried about her health"

"Don't worry Chloe. I will handle it" Hoseok smiled at her making her heart go crazy. She walked quickly to avoid talking to him further. She knows she will become blushing mess if she talks to him anymore. Once the files were returned Hoseok entered Y/n room. "Hi" she glanced up to see Hoseok. She smiled before returning to her work. He observed her as she worked. Her eyes have large dark circles and hair was messy. It is no doubt she didn't took care of herself in the last week. She usually shower and get ready in her extra room in the office.

She doesn't wear any makeup at all. "When was the last time you took rest?" she looked up from her file and frowned. "You know we don't have time to sit idle. We are running late with projects" he rolled his eyes at her. "Stacey already hired a team this week and we cleared three projects too"

"But we have other projects deadlines too this month" he took her hands pulling her out of her seat. "Relax. I already assigned teams for this and they are working timely now" he made her sit on the couch which she was using for sleeping. "You should take rest. I will handle the projects for now" she thought about it. She knows they already got on track but she purposely worked. Every time she kept idle her mind would think about the kiss. It brought back all the emotions she kept at bay.

Besides Yoongi behavior worried her too. After the kiss he pulled away and instantly left without a word. She received the file next day morning from his secretary. She didn't even realize he took the file. She was a complete mess that day.

"Ezra called yesterday" she turned to him focusing on him. "He wanted to you to visit him once" her heart raced in fear. "Is Aria alright? Why does he want me to visit?" he squeezed her hand to relax her. "She is doing fine. He said someone tried to inquire about her. He denied them but wanted to discuss that matter with you" her face paled at his statement. She has been good at hiding Aria till now but it seems Evan is getting hold of her. She needs to work faster before he can get to them.

"I will leave tomorrow then" he nodded his head. "I will inform Chloe about your schedule" she shook her head at him. "Don't tell anyone. I will handle it" she doesn't want to trouble her with more work. Beside Chloe doesn't know about Aria. "Wouldn't she get worried about you?" she raised her eyebrow at him. "Since when do you care for her feelings?" he flushed at her words. "Chloe likes you a lot. Just stop giving her hard time already" she chuckled. "By the time I come back I hope to hear good news"

She got up not leaving him chance to talk. She decided to head home and prepare for tomorrow. "Hi Tom" she greeted him when she entered the car. "Good to see you ma'am" she smiled at him. "Can you drive me home?" with that they were off to home. She closed her eyes and fatigue caught up to her. She woke up to Tom voice. "We reached ma'am" she thanked him and walked inside. She asked Nadia prepare something for her and went to her room.

She showered and changed in comfortable clothes laid on the bed. Soon she fell asleep.

She woke up to the sound of her phone ringing. Her eyes widened when she saw the caller id. "Hey dad" she greeted her dad who she forgot to call. "How are you doing princess?" she missed this. She missed being home and her parents. "I missed you" he chuckled. "Then you should visit us" she sighed feeling guilty. "You know I want to it is just -" he cut her off. "You don't have give me excuses princess. I know you"

"Don't strain yourself much. I am sure you will always do great" she felt happy her parents supporting her. "I am going to Italy tomorrow" she told him and she can hear her mother in background. "Is Aria ok?" she nodded her head forgetting they can't see her. "She is. Ezra wanted to talk to me" Ezra is doctor who has been treating Aria. "Call us when you hear from him" she talked for few more minutes and disconnected the call.

"Hi Ezra" she greeted a man in his early thirties. Ezra is an Irish man with 6'3 height. "Hi" his blonde hair fell on his deep blue eyes. He was extremely handsome and one of the best surgeons in the world. At the age of 31 he achieved lot of things. Y/n trusted him with Aria cause of that. "Hoseok told me about it" since someone might tap her phones she always diverted things related to Aria to Hoseok. "Why don't you take a seat first?"

"How are you?" he smiled which made his dimple visible. "I have been better. You?" she asked him taking seat in his cabin. "Pretty busy actually" she took the drink he offered and waited for him to tell her. "Aria is recovering. She is moving a little and we think she will wake up soon" I couldn't stop smiling at this. Aria has been in coma for almost four years. "Really?" he nodded chuckling at my state. "Thank you Ezra"

"But bad news is" I sat up straight. "Someone called hospital inquiring about Aria. They were confirmed she is being treated at this hospital. I made sure to clear her documents" it is good thing Ezra own this hospital. "Did you get any details about that person?" he grabbed a file and gave it to her. "I think he is related to Evan" that name alone made Y/n tense. "I will try to find more about it"

"How is Leon?" Y/n couldn't believe how Aria can be so blind about him. Ezra is someone they met in college. He was senior to them and good friend too. He always had soft spot for Aria. Everyone around them knows he likes her but Aria didn't believe it. Even after everything he still seems to care for her. "He is good. Can't believe he is growing up so fast" they spoke about him for few more minutes. "Are you staying here?"

"I need to check in hotel later" he rolled his eyes at her. "You know we went through this already. You are staying with me every time you come here" he pointed his pen at her. "Let's go and visit Aria first" he grabbed her hand taking her to her room. She visited Aria and decided to go back home. "I will drop you and come back" Ezra said walking back to his cabin. "I can manage on my own. I already know your pass code"

"It is rude to send you like that" he draggedher towards the entrance. "I can't be a bad host now" she chuckled at hiswords. "Y/n" she turned around confused. Yoongi glanced at them then at their joinedhands. His eyes darkened immediately. On other hand she stood frozen to ground.
