(note: this chapter still Jennie's pov)
Lisa must have been a beast at playing hide and seek as a child because I can't find the fucking girl anywhere; not in the bedrooms, the den, the various other useless rooms in this obnoxiously large house. Nowhere. She better not have actually fallen out of a bloody window.
Swinging open the bathroom door on the main floor, my eyes dart to Yeri and Joy who are hunched over, snorting lines off of the counter with metal straws. Either they deeply care about the environment or they've invested in drug paraphernalia over the years. Based on the size of their lines, I'm thinking it's the latter. How are they still standing?
"You should lock the door next time," I suggest as Joy cleans up the evidence with a piece of toilet paper before shoving the baggie into her bra.
"Oh hey, jennie," Yeri coos as she sniffles, wiping the white powder from under her nose. "Did you want a bump? It's good shit. Straight from Colombia."
"Yeah, I'm good, I don't put drugs up my nose," I scoff. They'll believe anything a dealer says. Pure uncut cocaine is exclusive. It's doubtful a high school girl would have access to something that premium. "But thanks for the kind offer. You do know there's a fentanyl crisis happening, yeah?"
"Well, we're still breathing so it's fine," she sings. "Don't be scared now"
"Yeah, you sure you don't want some?" Joy asks, her pupils the size of saucers. "We have more than enough to share." She pauses, biting her lip seductively. "Yeri and I like to share a lot of things." Her hand reaches up and strokes my chest. "What do you say? Up for some fun?"
Is she serious right now?
"You want to have fun?" I tease in a low hum, leaning closer to her so that my mouth is by her ear. "Is that what you want?"
"Mhmm." Her breath hitches.
"Well, that's too bad," I snap, dropping her hand, my expression hardening as I pull away. "Because that's never going to happen. Ever."
She scoffs, crossing her arms defensively. "Why not? You can't seriously be satisfied with lisa."
"Have you seen her recently?" I ask, not wanting to waste another breath on this bitch. As far as she's concerned I'm in a relationship, a status she clearly doesn't give a shit about.
"Your girlfriend?" Yeri clicks her tongue with a shrug. "No, we hav-"
I don't let her finish her sentence as I slam the door in their faces. Useless.
Where the hell is she?!
Searching the hallways, I stop by the kitchen and refill my flask, taking a swig. She better not be passed out somewhere. I pull out my phone as I walk into the living room and dial her number. Pick up. Pick up. Pick up. The line rings and rings until I get her voicemail. Fuck! I need a smoke.
As I make my way to the backyard, I spot Taeyong sitting on the couch in front of the TV, Seulgi perched on his lap.
"Have you seen lisa anywhere?" I ask him. I'm running out of options here.
"You lose your little pet?" she snickers, her eyelids fluttering open and close. "Maybe you should get a leash."
"What? Are you fucking kidding me? You don't know where she is?" he barks, sitting upright, tossing her to the side. Discarded. "I told you to watch her!"
