Chapter 36

McKennas POV

I woke up to my alarm blaring around the room causing me to sit straight up

"Nooooo do you really have to leave today" Leo said as he stretched his arms and yawned. He slept in my room last night. Nothing happened last night of course we just cuddled and watched a movie of course

"I need to get up and get ready Leo my taxi will be here in half an hour. I pushed back the sleeping as much as I could but I really do need to get up right now" I swung my legs to the side of the bed and put my fluffy robe and slippers on and frantically went into my wardrobe to find a fit.

"I cancelled your taxi" Leo said as he walked in behind me whilst rubbing his eyes

"Leo why would you do that?! I really can't be late for my flight" i said in frustration

"Calm down,  I thought I'd take you" I gave him a soft smile, it was going to be hard to say goodbye hence why I ordered a taxi to pick me up

"Just please be ready in half an hour" I said as I pinched his cheek

"Ow"

We managed to get to the airport just in time. I should've really taken the traffic in consideration. The ride was dead silent. We couldn't utter a word to each other the whole time.

We were now at my gate. Leo sipping a coffee as he tried to himself up.

"Gate 32 is now open for boarding" I heard on the speakers

"I've gotta go Leo" he looked at me with so much sadness in his eyes. I told myself I wasn't going to cry. Which is most likely going to happen because tears started to build up in my eyes. What can I say? Im a very emotional girl

"Promise you'll call me when you land?" He said now standing directly in front of me

"Yeah I will"

"And tobey is definitely picking you up from the airport?"

"Yes he messaged me this morning to confirm when Im arriving"

"Ok...don't talk to strangers, and ke-"

"You're starting to sound like my dad" I laughed but a tear managed to roll down my cheek. Leo looked crushed at the sight but managed to wipe the tear away

"You'll be ok, I'm always a call away if you need me ok?"

"Yup" I smiled trying to conceal that I was on the verge of crying

"Final call for gate 32" the speaker went off again

"You should go" Leo managed to force a small smile. I embraced him into a hug, him picking me up a tad. He then let go and caressed my cheeks to pull me into a long deep kiss. It was sad to know it'llbe our last one for a little while. Who knew if this would be our last indefinite

"I should go Leo, goodbye I'll miss you" I pouted

"Don't you dare say goodbye, I'll see you soon ok, and we'll talk alright" I nodded and gave him one last peck on the lips. I walked towards the boarding desk turning around to look at Leo one last time. He smiled and held up his hand to show off the Romeo and Juliet ring. I giggled and pulled out my necklace to show him and he smirked. I got my ticket and looked back again but he was gone.
As I sat in my plane seat I couldn't help but ponder why saying goodbye to him was so much harder than anticipated. I'm only gone for 6 months, he wasn't even my boyfriend yet it was just so so so hard to leave him behind.

After 5hrs of dread I have finally touched down in New York. I went down to luggage claim to be met with a friendly grin

"Hello long time no see" tobey grinned, I just smiled as I saw my luggage come around on the conveyor belt.
