Fight, Y/n! You have to fight! I screamed inside my head as I willed myself to slip from the darkness and return to the light. My eyes opened slowly and I saw three figures standing near me. Cornelius, Severus, and Albus stood over me as I lay in the hospital wing.
"W-where's Sirius... and Harry... Hermione... Ron... Remus," I murmured almost incoherently.
"See what I mean, Minister. He's got the lot of them confunded."
"That's a lie!" I heard Harry yell.
"Harry... Harry, where are you?" I tried to move my head to look around but I groaned in pain.
There was a shuffling of feet before Harry stood over me. "I'm here, Aunt Y/n... but they've got Sirius."
"No," I whispered. "No... no..." I quickly sat up, holding my head as it throbbed and the room began to spin.
"Y/n! What on earth are you doing?" Poppy asked, trying to lay me back down but I refused.
"No! No, I have to help him! I thought he betrayed us! All these years I believed he killed my friends! He was innocent! I have to help him... I-."
"My word, Severus. You weren't lying. Quite a strong Confundus charm he's got on them all," Cornelius said.
"No! No, it's not a Confundus charm! We saw the proof! We saw Pettigrew!"
"Minister, Severus, I must ask you both to leave now. Y/n needs to rest and clearly you being here is upsetting her," Poppy said firmly as she ushered them to the door.
"Poppy, I wonder if I might have a word with Harry, Hermione, and Y/n in private?"
"Five minutes, Albus," she sighed. "Then you must leave as well. It is imperative she rest after the ordeal she just suffered." Albus nodded and Poppy retreated to her office.
"Albus, please listen to me. They've got the wrong man. Pettigrew is alive! I saw him! He escaped when Lupin turned into a werewolf but he's alive!"
"It was Scabbers who did it!" Ron exclaimed.
"Scabbers?"
"He's my rat, sir. Well, he's not really a rat. Well, he was a rat... he was my brother Percy's rat and then they gave him an owl... and-."
"The point is we know the truth. Please believe us," Hermione begged.
"I do, Ms. Granger... but I'm sorry to say the word of three thirteen year old wizards and Sirius's ex-girlfriend will convince few others."
Fear coursed through my body as Albus continued speaking, but I was no longer listening. I was running through ways to get to Sirius, but something Albus said caught my attention and I turned to him.
"Sirius Black is in the topmost cell of the Dark Tower." He quickly turned around, staring at Hermione. "You know the laws, Miss Granger. You must not be seen and you would do well, I feel, to return before this last chime. If not, the consequences are too ghastly to discuss. If you succeed tonight, more than one innocent life may be spared. Three turns should do it, I think."
"Albus, you're a genius!" I exclaimed. Hermione and Harry turned to me, though Harry seemed confused. Albus began walking out the doors but quickly turned around.
"Oh, by the way... when in doubt, I find retracing my steps to be a wise place to begin. Good luck." With that, he closed the doors.
"What the bloody hell was that all about?" Ron asked.
"Sorry, Ron, but seeing as you can't walk..." Hermione pulled the time-turner from her jacket wrapping it around Harry's neck.
"Hermione... since I obviously can't come with in this condition... will you tell Sirius goodbye for me? Tell him I'll see him again soon."
