                                              Lately 
I have become 
Uncomfortably numb 
To your words 
Your actions
Your lies 
What a bitter surprise 
You turn a blind eye
When I cry 
Then sleep like a baby 
at night 
If you're trying to break
My spirit 
Bravo 
You've beat me
in overtime 
Watch the 
bright light 
In my eyes 
Wither 
And die
Does that 
make you feel 
good inside? 
Read my words 
Feel their meaning 
or ignore them
completely 
But if you do 
don't say
I didn't try
