Stop talking for once
and just listen to me
Your actions spoke volumes
It's now my turn to speakYou're sorry
But for what
You can't remember
you say
Your apology is empty
It only mocks my true painIt's about what you did to me
There's no excuse
you could make
That would take back the hurt
Or somehow erase
my fucking painI want you to know
Your betrayal was brutal
It hurt
It changed me
I loved you
I trusted you
I want you to remember
It was you holding the pin
As you threw the grenadeClose your eyes
Let's trade places
Now lace up my shoes
Thank God, yours didn't fit me
Because I'm not like youOpen your eyes now
How was my pain
Did you cry
Did it shake you
See, we're not the sameYou're right about one thing, though
life is short
there's no time to be bitter
Guess I'll suck it up
And just forgive you
It's easy really
when you pretend
You can't remember
