Accumulated Trauma

Chapter 10: Rescued

He drops you to the floor and grabs his gun and points it at JJ, but before he can do anything, Hotch shoots him. 

Emily hears JJ scream and instantly gets up. Garcia tries to grab her to stop her but almost as soon as she had emily, emily got free. Emily rushed inside the building, and garcia followed. There was a gunshot as they entered, but as they were only by the entrance, the couldn't tell where it came from.

As soon as you hit the floor you dash away from all of the commotion, into a crevice. JJ makes her way over to you, and Derek comes too. With the adrenaline pumping and your mind spinning, you don't recognise them. 

JJ- "y/n, sweetie come on out of there, the bad guy is gone okay? He can't hurt you anymore"

 You look at her with your eyes full of terror and shake your head. She sees in your eyes that you can't recognise them, so she tries reaching her hand in but you try to get away. She turns to Derek.

JJ- "she doesn't know it's us"

D- "it's because of the adrenaline and her injuries, but we need to get her out of there she's losing too much blood"

JJ- "sweetie, it's me, JJ. You need to come out so we can help you okay?"

You bury your head into your knees, trying to breathe. The pain from all of your injuries is getting too much and you are getting more confused by the minute.

D- "y/n, we are here to help you, but you need to trust us can you do that?"

You hesitantly look at him and then JJ, and your mind calms a little. You still don't recognise them, but somehow you know they won't hurt you.

JJ smiles at you and says "it's alright honey, I'm right here." She holds her hand out, and you hesitantly and slowly take it. By now you have lost a great deal of blood, and are getting very weak, so they both help you out of the crevice. As you got out, one of the officers knocked over something heavy and it startled you, so you tried to get away again, but being as weak as you were you could only crawl, and you didn't get far before you collapsed onto your stomach and let out a whimper.

JJ rushes over to you, and turns you on your back. She gasps at how badly you are injured, seeing it up close for the first time. She gently takes the tape from your mouth, and then strokes your face. JJ- "Oh honey, you are freezing"

You are feeling really tired and exhausted at this point, and your body is starting to shut down.

She cups your face in her hands, to make you look at her, while Derek puts pressure on the stab wound. You wince and your face scrunches up in pain. “y/n sweetie i need you to look at me okay? I know it hurts, but it will be okay. You need to stay awake for me darling, can you do that?”

She watches as your eyes start to close.

JJ - “no no no, come on y/n stay with me okay?”

You feel her hold your hand but you can't really see her anymore.

JJ - “y/n, look at me come on, you're doing amazing, stay with me okay? Please, this is not how you want to go, you haven't even lived yet sweetie, you haven't had the chance to be loved or cared about. I care about you okay? Me and Emily both care about you so much.” 

At this point she is fully crying.

“Come on sweetheart, open your eyes, please. We care about you so much, we love you, we want to be your moms. How would you like that y/n? You want us to be your moms? You can come home with us and we will take you to the movies, and take you to get ice cream. We saved Jack y/n. Don't you want to see him? Please. I need you to open your eyes.”
