M A T E (Sesshomaru)

Laughter was heard as Naraku had a swirl of Miasma running after the half dog demon. She was weak and had a wound to her side as she held onto it, to keep from bleeding out anymore than it already has.

"YOU CANNOT RUN FOREVER NIKO! I AM RIGHT BEHIND YOU!" Naraku yelled while laughing some more.

How unfortunate for Niko to go out by the hands of Naraku. She doesn't know why he wants her, or even wants to kill her for the matter. All she knew was survival and she had to survive.

Once of Naraku's tentacles came out from the cloud and grabbed onto Niko so it made it seem she was flying in the air.

"NOW I GOT YOU!" He shouted but was cutt off guard when an attack made its way to him, causing him to drop Niko as he put up a barrier.

Niko was already unconscious as a strand of silver caught her from the air and landed swiftly on the ground.

"Naraku what is a vermin like you doing with a half breed like her?" Sesshomaru couldn't help but wonder as he looked down at the half demon wanting nothing more but to drop her here and now.

"Sesshomaru why must you ruin my plans? Why do you care? She's nothing more than a half Demon like me or Inuyasha,"

"I don't frankly it's none of my business why you want this girl, but I wasn't going to stand there and let you kill her,"

"I'm not finished with-"

"NARAKU!" The voice of Kagome yelled before an arrow came at him as his eyes widened when it went through the barrier and his arm was ripped apart.

"NICE SHOT KAGOME!" Inuyasha was next as he lifted up his sword.

"WIND SCAR!" He shouted before Naraku put up another barrier as a smoke or Miasma was around him as he made his escape.

"Damn him for getting away, Sesshomaru who's that in your arms?"

"I do not know nor do I care, if you wish to take her in your arms you can, I simply showed up before Naraku can take her," he said dumping her body into Inuyasha's arms.

"Hey! No need to be so nasty towards her! She's hurt!"

"Then you take care of her, I have other matters to attend to," he said before turning to walk away.

Niko slowly but surely began to open her eyes, she was staring up at the ceiling as she blinked and tried to sit up, but her wound in her side told her otherwise as she laid back down and hissed in pain.

"Careful child, your wounds will reopen if not careful," An old lady with an eye patch said.

"Where am I? What happened?"

"Inuyasha! She's awake!" Another girl yelled shaking a half dog demon such as herself awake.

"Your a dog demon like me?" She asked curious laced in her voice.

"Half dog demon yes, from the look of your dog ears your half dog demon too,"

"Tell us, why was Naraku after you beautiful lady?" A monk in purple clothing asked before a woman with demon slayer clothes growled at him.

"In truths I don't know why, I was picking herbs when he came out and attacked me, I fought him off as hard as I could but he kept reviving no matter how many slashes I did to him, he wouldn't tell me what he wanted from me, or how he even knew my name,"

"Do you have any family?"

"Unfortunately no, I'm the last princess of the Eastern lands,"

"PRINCESS?!" They all shouted shocked at the news.

"And your from the Eastern lands? It's no wonder why Naraku was after you, he probably knows your a princess in your kingdom," the purple robes guy announced.

"Oh, we've been talking and haven't even been introduced, I'm Kagome, this is Inuyasha, Shippo, Miroku, Sango and Kirara," Kagome announced with a smile on her face.

"Hmmm.... What an interesting group, my name is Niko, Princess Niko of the Eastern Lands, I have been traveling on my own for a long time in search of someone,"

"And who might that be?" Inuyasha wondered looking into the same golden pair of eyes she has.

"Lord Sesshomaru of the Western Lands,"

This caused everyone's eyes to widen as Inuyasha became uncomfortable at the mention of his half brother's name.

"And umm.... Why are you looking for him?" Inuyasha asked almost afraid of the answer.

"Well, Sesshomaru is betrothed to me we have been for a very long time yet he runs from me,"

"Betrothed?!" Miroku and Sango yelled at the same time.

"As in marriage?" Kagome was next to ask cussing Niko to nod her head.

"This wedding has been planning to happen for along time now, even though my parents have passed they still want the marriage to happen, to unite our lands as one,"

"Well tough break, but Sesshomaru hates half Demons and well.... You are a half demon," Inuyasha pointed the obvious causing Niko's eyes to widen.
