The flight back to Berk was very quiet and tense and neither Hiccup or Astrid wanted to say anything encase it broke into a discussion about what happened with Eret

But hiccup didn't like the silence so he decided to speak up "I'm sorry" he said, Astrid just looked at him with a confused look "what?" she said "I'm sorry, for banishing you and Eret, I should've just talked to you but I guess I was so angry I wasn't thinking clearly" he said hanging his head in shame

Astrid wrapped her arms around hiccups waist and rested her head on his shoulder just like when hiccup took her on her first flight "it's okay, I know you must have been furious and I'm furious at myself still for even ........ never mind" she said as she kissed his cheek

"What matters is I still love you and in all fairness I would've got rid of the baby anyway" she said with a small smile on her face "why?" Hiccup said looking back at her "I know I slept with him and that makes me sick just thinking about it, but a child with him would just never happen"

Hiccup looked back at her and smiled and she smiled back at him "go to sleep, i'll let you know when we're at Berk" Hiccup said and soon Astrid laid her head on Hiccups shoulders and fell into a light slumber

Astrid woke up when she felt Toothless diving and heard a plasma blast fire from the dragons mouth, she shot up and looked around her surroundings and she realised she was back on Berk but it was at war with...

"Drago?" she gasped, Hiccup looked over his shoulder and saw she was awake "glad you're up, now any ideas because at the moment I'm trying to stop us from getting shot down by INCOMING!!!" he screamed as he folded toothless' tail making them do a roll just narrowly avoiding an incoming bola

"Well first we need to take care of any ground to air assault so we can keep our air superiority and have the upper hand against them" she suggested, Hiccup smiled and nodded "that's my girl" he said

Hiccup turned away from the village and headed towards the academy dodging many ground to air attacks as they could, they eventually landed and they found the rest of the gang there but something was wrong with them

Hiccup and Astrid dismounted and noticed Ruffnut wasn't with them "wheres ruff?" Hiccup said, they all just stayed silent with a look of shame on their faces

"I'll ask again, where is ruff?" he said a little louder, Tuffnut lifted his head and said with a tear running down his cheek "she left us and joined Eret because he apparently killed Drago" Hiccup and Astrid Gasped

"Drago's dead?!"

"Ruffnut left?!"

They all nodded, and soon Tuffnut broke and tears soon started to fall along with Snotlout and Fishlegs, Astrid went over to Tuffnut and hugged him

Astrid then turned round when she heard something click and she saw Hiccup about to take to the skies with Toothless but before he did she called out to him "Wait Hiccup!" she said as she ran over to him

"What are you going to do?" She asked worriedly "Put an end to this, I have to try"

Astrid saw the worry and fury in his eyes and she placed a hand on his cheek and kissed him

When they broke the kiss they let their foreheads touch and they knew what was going to happen "I must go, I promise I shall return with Ruffnut" he said as he opened toothless' tail and they flew away up into the sky towards the largest ship where Eret and Ruffnut should be
