Trial and Sentence

Hiccup gripped his fists tightly as his blood boiled with hate towards Eret and Astrid for what they've done "what did I do to deserve this? And she cheats on me with Eret after everything I've done for her over these past five years" he mumbled

He then felt his rage boil over ad he gripped his inferno, ignited it and threw it at the wall with all his force, he breathed heavily and wished this never happened, there was a tapping and Hiccup looked to see Gothi standing in the door way with the results "well? am I the........" He stuttered nervously

Gothi sighed and shook her head at him, Hiccup's heart broke into a million pieces, he took the piece of paper with the results and stared at it and sighed heavily, he knew as chief he had to do something about it but he really didn't want to

"Thank you Gothi, I appreciate your commitment" he said as he stood up and walked out the hut and headed for the great hall "there's only one thing I can do for a trial like this" he said

In the great hall the entire village had been gathered to attend the trial and try we're not looking very happy at Astrid or Eret

Gobber then got on the main stage and spoke up "this trial is for Astrid Freya Hofferson and Eret son of Eret, they are on trial for treason and adultery towards the chief, he is to decide their sentence but is currently getting DNA results for who this baby belongs to" he boomed all eyes locked on the two who were on their knees with their hands chained behind their backs

Tears fell down Astrid's cheeks as she remembered that night she slept with Eret, she woke up every morning after it wanting to kill herself for what she did, she wasn't thinking straight and was being incredibly stupid, what compelled her to cheat on him

The doors opened to the hall and Hiccup walked in with Valka and Toothless following close behind them "Astrid?" she Valka gasped "Valka, I'm so sorry" Astrid sobbed, tears falling from her eyes and staining her red wool tunic, Valka knelt in front of her and cupped her cheeks in her hands "don't worry Astrid I will try to convince Hiccup to be as merciful as I can to you" she said "thanks you" Astrid wanted to run but she knew even if she did she had no where to go

Hiccup walked past and didnt even noted looking at her as he took his place on the stage with Gobber, Toothless walked past and snarled at Eret but gave Astrid his worried look "ill be okay Toothless" she said, he licks her and walks onto the stage with Hiccup Gobber and Valka

Hiccup stepped forward and spoke "at precisely twelve hundred hours today I took Astrid to Gothi to find out if our attempt for a family was successful, I was overjoyed when I was told she was pregnant but then I was told it was not my child" His voice echoed through out the village, tears were streaming down Astrid's face as she remembered the feeling she had when she woke up after sleeping with Eret

"I have been merciful to many in my time as chief, but people change and that is what I am doing now" Hiccup growled as he stared at Eret then at Astrid who was terrified

"I have the DNA results here in my hand" he said holding the piece of paper in the air "which clearly states that Astrid Hofferson is pregnant and the baby belongs to Eret son of Eret, Astrid is not partners with Eret but is having his child and is three weeks into her pregnancy" he said, everyone looked at Astrid with disgust and hatred

"My father would let these people live and go on with their lives, but however.....I am not my father, you both will have a sentence and I will not forgive you for your acts" Astrid couldn't believe it, was he breaking up with her, he hated her and he probably will send her to be eaten by a dragon

Hiccup stepped forward towards Eret and his face was burning with rage, Eret gulped and pleaded to Thor that he would have mercy, "Eret son of Eret, for your crimes and act of treason towards me I here by sentence you to return to Drago Bludvist and he will decide your fate" Hiccup said

Eret gasped as he remembered his past with Drago and it was anything but worth it "Hiccup be merciful please" he pleaded but Hiccup just glared at his and yelled "well maybe if you thought twice about seducing my girlfriend and manipulating her into sleeping with you you would be going back, all actions have consequences Eret" he then turned his attention to Astrid who was shaking and sobbing "Astrid Freya Hofferson......you are charged with treason, adultery and lack of faith towards your chief, I have been convinced to be merciful but that doesn't mean you won't feel what I feel, I here by sentence you to abortion of the child and you are banished from my island for life, if you return I will kill you, if you write to family or friends I will hunt you down and kill you, if you are found with in one hundred miles if Berk I will kill you, am I clear" he scolded at her

"Hiccup no, please don't send me away.....I'll kill the baby myself I'll make myself a slave to Berk put me to the hardest work possible just please don't make me leave" Astrid cried as she begged him for mercy, Hiccup just shook his head and went back to the stage "these two are now enemies of the Hooligan tribe of Berk, if you see them after they leave, bring them to me and do not harm them" Hiccup yelled throughout the hall, he looked at the two who kneeled before him and growled at them "get these two traitors off my island" he said ad walked away and two men came to take them to the cells "NO! HICCUP PLEASE I LOVE YOU, DON'T DO THIS TO ME......TO US" Hiccup had just about had enough now "GET OUT!" he screamed as he spun round ad slammed his fist into Astrids stomach knocking the wind out of her

Astrid couldn't believe it, did he just do that? did he just kill the baby himself after he asked a guard to do it "Hiccup!.........why?" she sobbed "speak one more time and I will kill you" he said and stormed away "what have I done" Astrid sobbed as she was dragged to her cell crying all the way

/Next Day:Banishment\

Astrid sat in her cell crying her heart out "Im sorry Astrid, I never knew he would do this" Astrid snapped her head up to see Valka standing there with a sad face "it's my fault, I slept with Eret, I got pregnant, I betrayed Hiccup, I sentenced myself to this" she sobbed "I have been told you are leaving on the ship now, come on you new to go" she said as she opened the cell door and helped her to her feat

"Don't worry, if Hiccup is the boy I know and love he will come for you, just wait for him" Valka said "ill wait a thousand years for him"

Down at the docks Eret had already been dropped off at Drago's ship by Snotlout and Hookfang and there was a ship waiting for her, they walked down and looks of disgust and pity were all around her "bring her forward" Hiccup yelled, he was waiting on the ship with Toothless by his side, Astrid stepped on deck and walked up to him "hold out your wrist" he said, Astrid did as she asked and held forward her wrist

Hiccup gripped her arm so she couldn't pull it away, and was handed a long pole with a symbol of Berk on it, it was made of metal as had scorch marks on it "oh no! the banishment scars" she gasped quietly "you will carry this scar for the rest of your life to remind your self why you are no longer here as what you did" as he held the pole in front of Toothless who heated it up to extreme temperatures and snarled at Astrid

Hiccup gripped the pole and slammed it on her wrist burning her skin making her scream in pain and agony, her skin melted and small streaks of blood fell down her arm, Hiccup released her and he fell to the wooden deck of the ship holding her wrist and crying softly "Get here out if here" he said as he stepped on to the docks and ten large men shoved the ship out to sea and Hiccup watched as Astrid waved their goodbye and mouthed the words 'I love you'

And soon she disappeared over the horizon and was gone forever "I'm sorry" Hiccup whispered and walked away with a tear falling down his cheek
