CHAPTER 2

{Isabel Wood}

I hear my alarm and groan, school...

I get up and stretch. Hmm, that feels better.

Walking over to my closet, I pick out a casual dress and head to the bathroom to take a shower.

After I'm done getting ready, I look at the time. I'm late, shoot.

I run downstairs and notice my brother is not there.

"Where is Isaac?" I ask my mom.

Her eyes widen when she sees me, "what are you doing here? your brother left. We thought you left early."

"Oh no," I sigh, accepting that I will be late.

I walk out the door and notice his car still in his driveway, well he is never in school on time so I'm not surprised.

I start walking to school and he comes out just as I pass his house.

"Bell?" Theodore calls out.

I turn to him and smile, "hello, Tee."

"Why aren't you in school?" He asks.

"I took too long getting ready," I inform. I woke up on time so that confuses me.

He nods, "come on I'll drop you."

I walk over and he opens the door for me, I slip inside and he settles himself into the driver's seat.

He starts driving to school and I break the silence, "so, are you and Isaac fine now?"

James told me about their fight on prom. I knew Theodore was going to take Diana but when she came over the next day and asked Isaac out, I thought Theodore was taking someone else but apparently not. I got mad at Isaac but he just said he had a reason and wouldn't tell me it.

He glances at me before turning back to the road, "we will be. Don't worry about it Bells," he reassures me when he sees the worried look on my face.

He is right. They are always fine.

We reach the school and he stops me when I am about to get off, "do you want to, umm, hang out today?"

I tilt my head, "I don't mind. Is it for Isaac?"

"No. I just realized, I've known you for a while but I never got to KNOW you," he emphasizes.

I smile, "well, I would love to hang out."

He smiles back and nods, "good."

I get out of the car after mumbling a bye.

"See you later, Bell."

I nod, "Thank you for the ride."

"Anytime."

With that, I turn and walk into the school.

I wait for my first class to finish cause there are a few minutes left and there is no point in going in now.

When my best friend walks out of the class I sneak attack her by jumping on her back.

"Oh my god, Issy," May gasps, catching me.

I grin, getting off, "hello!"

"Hi," she laughs.

"Guess what!" I exclaim as we walk toward our lockers.

She turns to me, giving me a skeptical look, "what?"
