CHAPTER 9
{Theodore Miller}
*3 weeks later*
"I will, babe. I promise," I assure her.
Isabel sighs, "are you sure you'll be fine?"
"My love I will just be gone for 2 weeks," I pet her head.
There is a soccer tournament and it requires me to go to a different city with our school team. I'll be safe, I don't know why she is worried.
She wraps her arms around my neck, pulling me in for a kiss, "call me when you get there, 'kay?"
I grab her waist to pull her closer, "okay."
We stand there kissing for a while before we hear coach, "MILLER, GET YOU'RE ASS OVER HERE. WE HAVE A PLANE TO CATCH."
I pull away from her with a sigh, I'll miss her.
"I promise I'll be safe. I love you," I peck her lips.
She pouts, "okay. I love you more."
I grin, flicking her head, "no, you don't."
She smiles softly, "mhm. Bye. Good luck, Tee."
"Thank you, gorgeous. Bye!"
With that, I step away from her and into the bus.
I go to the back and put on my headphones.
I feel a tap on my shoulder, "what?"
"You love her?" James asks.
I sigh, "no. I have known her for a while, it would be weird if I didn't say it back and I don't want her to be suspicious."
I don't know if I love her or not, I like her for sure but I'm not sure about love.
He nods, "Prom is in a few months."
"Not few, like 8 months. I have time," I inform.
"Yeah but also more than enough time for you to fall in love with her," he points out.
I groan, "I'm not going to fall in love with her."
"Just saying... You said you want revenge," he rolls his eyes.
I run my hand through my hair, "and I'll get it."
He nods, "okay."
I put my headphones back on and lay my head on the window, closing my eyes.
We reach the airport soon after and get on the plane.
When we finally reach there, I head up to my assigned room and call my girlfriend.
"Hey!" she answers.
"Hey, babe. I reached and everything is okay. I wanted to let you know," I explain.
She lets out a sigh of relief, "okay."
I walk over to my bed and lay down.
"I miss you already," she mumbles. Aww.
I smile, "I'll be back soon love."
She hums and I hear shuffling.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
She huffs, "I can't figure this math question out."
I let out a breathy laugh, "another test?"
"Yes," I can hear the pout on her face.
"When is it?" I question.
I hear more shuffling, "um, in three weeks."
"That's plenty of time baby. Don't stress about it. I can also help you when I am back," I try to soothe.
