CHAPTER 14

School started a few months ago and it has also been a few months since I saw Theo so I'm going to surprise him today.

I talk to him every night before sleeping and in the morning after waking up also a few times throughout the day.

We talk a lot which is good but I miss him so I woke up early and I'm getting ready to go see him.

"Be careful okay?" My mom says as I put my stuff in the car.

"I will mom, I promise," I assure, settling in the car.

"I can take you," Isaac offers.

I shake my head, "I'll be fine."

"Okay," he mumbles.

"Bye!" I scream to Isaac and my mom.

They wave as I pull out of the driveway.

A voice laughs, "you should've broken up with Isabel at prom as we planned. Revenge is revenge."

What?

"I told you, I'm confused," I hear Theo. No.

"Theo, you said you don't love her. you'll get over it. You want revenge on Isaac, right?" The voice sighs.

"James, it's not that easy. I want revenge but I said either junior prom or her senior prom," Theodore groans.

"I don't understand why you didn't do it at the junior prom. She has been so clingy," James chuckles.

I can't hear more anymore.

I turn and walk back into the elevator.

Theodore told me his dorm number and luckily, not, someone left the door open while they were talking in the living room.

I head to my car, holding back tears. I am revenge. I will be.

"I don't understand why you didn't do it at the junior prom. She has been so clingy," James chuckles.

"I don't mind it," I shrug.

He raises his brow, "you are confusing me. You say you aren't in love with her but you still wear her ring everywhere and you always talk about her. Are you sure you aren't in love with her?"

I let out a sigh, "I love her..."

He nods, "I fucking knew it."

I tilt my head, "what?"

"I just wanted you to say it. I knew from the day in the locker room that you were in love with her," he admits. "I wanted your dumbass to realize it."

"And what if I didn't? What if I broke up with her?" I ask.

"Then that's on you. but I always knew you wanted her more than revenge. What Isaac did was fucked up and I think you should still do something as revenge but I don't think it's Izzy's fault," he points out.

"I'm dumb. I fucked up our friendship over a girl," I mumble.

"No. What Isaac did wasn't right. friends don't do that to each other," he shakes his head.

I nod, "True. But why did you suggest the whole Isabel thing if you didn't wanna involve her?"

"She has loved you since you guys were kids. It was a way to get you guys together," he says as a matter of factly.
