When I woke up I was very happy, and that's a first since I'm bitchy on mornings.
I took a shower and changed into my uniform, I decided to straighten my hair and put a thin line of black eyeliner. I don't actually wear lip gloss...its sticky. I slipped in my black glove and was ready to go.
A knock on the door startled me.
"Come in." I said as I put my stuff away and finished making the bed.
"You seem cheerful today." Sawyer chuckled, I've being annoying him most of the time.
I rolled my eyes. "I still haven't eaten though."
"You should do that right away." he smiled. "I have something for you."
"Really? What is it?"
He closed the door behind him, then out of his pocket he took out a tiny looking thing.
"What is that?" I asked a bit shyly...didn't want to offend him or anything.
"Its your dagger, you said you wanted one so here it is."
"Sawyer that thing is tiny." I pointed out.
He chuckled. "If you say so. Now you grab it."
I did and it extended. Actually it wasn't that small, it was the size from my elbow to the tip of my middle finger. It was a shiny silver and the handle was black but it had a green glow.
"It's beautiful." I whispered.
"It is. It belonged to my father, he was a warrior." he smiled.
"How do I make it tiny again?"
"Just picture it the size you want it to be reduced to. Nobody else can extend it but you." Hmm. That's strange.
Oh well.
I imagined it the way Sawyer had it, it was the size of my pinky.
"I think you'll like to have this also, it had a small holder on it." he gave me one of his gloves.
It did had a small holder that fit perfectly.
Without really thinking I hugged him. "Thank you. Its truly beautiful."
He held me there for a minute. Then pulled back just a little, his face just an inch apart from mine.
"Can I?"
"You don't really have to ask." I chuckled.
He smiled and kissed me. First he kissed so passionately and roughly then it went gentle. Unlike other people who start off easy and then go strong.
Sawyers arms tightened around my waist as he pressed me closer. The kiss began to go soften until it was just a brush of lips.
We both pulled back at the same time, breathless. That's how he left me, always breathless.
"I think we should feed you." Sawyer said as we both headed to the kitchen.
"That's a good idea."
Indeed, I fed myself a sandwich with coffee and a cup of orange juice. Then when I was done with that I grabbed a shiny red apple and took a bite. One look at the clock and it told me we still had thirty minutes to get to school.
"God I woke up really early." I said as we both headed to the living room.
"You ate fairly well so that's real good."
"Hmm. I think you're relieved that I wont be bugging you at school." I nudge his side.
"Caught me."
