*5 months later*

(Pierce's POV)

--Flashback-- (A month after the escape)

I walked through the hallways, the nerves eating me.

Will she still love me?

Did she got tired and found someone else?

The cafeteria was loud like always and I instantly searched for Melanie.

When I saw her I smiled.

Then my heart stopped when I saw a tall guy come to her, he put an arm around her shoulder and she hugged his waist. He then placed a kiss to her head and she just laughed and pushed him away playfully.

I couldn't move, I was rooted in place.

She didn't wait.

She didn't love me anymore.

She's with someone else.

I started moving backwards and that's when people started to notice me.

Some gasped, some yelled and some began to whisper.

Then she noticed me.

Her eyes widened in shock.

"Pierce!" she called my name but I was running.

Running away from her, from the other kids.

Running away from the pain.

I stopped once I was outside the school to take a breath.

I deserve this, I left her. She has the right to date someone else.

"Pierce!"

I turned around and saw her coming near me, the boy a few steps behind her.

"Hey Mel, I just stopped by to see how you were doing. So I better get going, Blair and Sawyer are waiting for me." I faked to be calm.

"No! I don't want you to leave again."

"I don't want to intrude. It was nice seeing you again, Mel." I turned around and began to walk away.

Next thing I know something is crawling up my back and I couldn't help but let out a yelp.

A set of lips touched my neck.

"I said I would wait and I kept that promise." she mumbled and placed another gentle kiss next to my ear.

"That guy-"

"That guys is my cousin, Beck."

"Oh." now I feel stupid.

---Present---

I smiled at the memory.

I've done so many stupid things that I doubt my sanity.

We're in the middle of summer and we just moved to our new apartment. Moving furniture is a bitch but if I even complain a bit Mel will chop my head off.

"I want that there." she pointed from the couch to the far end of the place.

Beck groaned and then we moved the couch.

Like that we kept moving things around until it was all set and all pretty according to Mel. All I could think was: shower, bed, sleep. Shower, bed, sleep.

"I'm going home now." Beck got up and Mel accompanied him to the door.

After talking to her parents they let her live with me. They went to a business deal and she didn't want to get separated from me again so we're staying together until her parents come back. Then we'll both move in to her house.
