As large rain drops pelted on the ADA's office windows as many large grey clouds enveloped the sky's. The weather seemed to mirror everyone's mood in the ADA office. Oda has been healed by the all mighty Yasano but he hasn't woke up. Thankfully, the doctor assured Dazai that Oda was in stable condition and in good hands which made the brunette sigh in relief. The rest of the port mafia members went back to the mafia base under Dazai's orders. Hirotsu was in charge of taking care of Lola. So now, it was just Dazai in the ADA office. If it wasn't for Chuuya, Dazai clearly wouldn't have stayed alone. Who knows, the ADA could kill him and that's the downfall for the mafia. However, when Atsushi called Chuuya out of the office for a while, to discuss something with him, Dazai already had his back straightened when he saw the glance from Kunikida which only lasted 2 seconds but Dazai noticed it. Of course he noticed it. That prodigy brain of his and observant eyes could see through anything. His sensitive hearing added to the list. It was nearly impossible for secret attacks on Dazai. It never worked. Dazai would usually act like he didn't Know and defend himself at the last second. He had to admit that the shocked face of his attacker really satisfied Dazai.
Still putting on a blank face, Dazai slowly stretched and yawned as his arm stretched to the back of his head and like a snake, his hand stealthily grabbed a sharp object out of his coat as he quickly sat up straight, hiding the scalpel he snatched from Mori's office before he died. Dazai always like pulling pranks, especially on Chuuya. When Mori asked Dazai to report to his office, Dazai would take an opportunity he has and swipe off objects ranging from books, reports, random files and of course, weapons small enough he could hide. The surprising thing was that Mori didn't even notice. Due to his nick-picking skills, Dazai could unlock Mori's office doors whenever he wanted. He made sure not to leave any evidence behind. The position of the papers, amount of rubbish isn't he bins and of course, the security cameras. He has to delete or edit the camera's which showed him in the room. Finding all those steps troublesome, Dazai didn't sneak into locked places often. Dazai still chuckled about all those times he got away with his mischiefs without anyone knowing.
His thoughts were broken when he noticed at the side of his eyes that a silver-haired man was approaching him who was probably Fukuzawa. He noticed the blonde adjusting his glasses and taking out his notebook. Dazai remained composed as he saw a glimpse of Fukuzawa holding an object which reflected the sunlight seeping out from the gap between the curtains. As he saw the figure come closer, he positioned his hand and threw the scalpel. Fortunately or unfortunately, the scalpel didn't hit Fukuzawa but buried itself into the wall beside Fukuzawa's head instead. A silent threat to not come any closer. The silver-haired kept his katana into his sheath as he straightened his posture. He removed the scalpel from the wall before handing it politely to Dazai. Smiling, Dazai tilted his head to the side as a bullet went past his head. He could feel the wind from the flying bullet before it hit the wall and fell to the floor. Turning around, he gave a confident glance to Kunikida who was wide-eyed. Hopping to his feet, Dazai picked up the rubber bullet. "Won't kill you but hurts like hell. You know, I hate pain..." He gave a glare to Kunikida who kept the gun and adjusted his glasses once again. Dazai put up his normal smile before looking at Fukuzawa who had no expression on his face but Dazai could see the surprise in his eyes. WHat Fukuawa said next confirmed his prediction. "I'm surprised, even Mori-dono couldn't dodge that. He didn't even know." Kunikida nodded to agree with Fukuzawa's statement. He was the one who shot the bullet after all. "I am curious, when did you realise?" the silver-haired continued as he gestured for Dazai to sit down. Dazai did so and his smile became bigger, "I realised when four eyes glanced at me." Kunkida, obviously offended by the nickname Dazai gave him, shuts himself up to avoid screaming at the brunette who was smirking at him right now. Fukuzawa's eyes widened and of course, Dazai noticed that and he didn't mind explaining. "Looking at four eyes over there glancing at me, I predicted what happened when I saw a shadow coming from your direction. I hid the scalpel so both of you won't see it and so on and so forth." Fukuzawa and Kunikida looked surprised. Who wouldn't anyway? Fukuzawa regained his composure and nodded. "You like using scalpels too?" Dazai just chuckled, "Not at all! I just swiped it off Mori-san and decided to keep it. I hate that old geezer anyways!" Fukuzawa sighed. "I heard from Mori-dono that you're were always by his side. However, I've never seen you before..." Dazai tilted his head like he was thinking and that's when something clicked. "I saw you when I was 8!" Kunikida couldn't help but gasp silently. A child in the mafia since he was 8? The silver-head male's eyes narrowed as he thought hard. That's when his eyes's widened. "You're telling me you were the young boy in the black hoodie standing beside Mori-don't when I went to check on him?" Dazai nodded with Kunikida just listening in and visioning inside his head. Fukuzawa nodded as well as he decided not to talk about the topic anymore. He knew how Mori treated children especially ones like Dazai. He knew much about the brunette since Mori kept on bragging about it. How Dazai's IQ was above 200. His prodigy mind and a strategy genius.
Just at the moment, Chuuya cam in with Atsushi holding a few papers and files. Both missed the interested part as Chuuya stared at the trio only to sigh in relief. Kunikida was sitting leaning on his table, reading his book of ideals. Fukuzawa and Dazai sitting on the couch in silence. Glancing from his boss to his ex-boss, Chuuya narrowed his eyes in suspicion. Upon noticing that, Dazai waved his hand lazily to gesture that nothing happened. Chuuya sighed as he went forward to Dazai and wanted to say something but that's when the ground all were standing on started shaking and that's when Dazai yelled in hurry, "Down!" Everyone didn't have time to process and did as they were told. Just at that split second, many bullets were shot as the glass windows shattered into smithereens. The bullets, instead of hitting the people, buried itself into tables, chairs and walls.
