𝓣𝓸𝓷𝔂 sat in the living room, working on his laptop as the twins played with their toys and watch Bubble Guppies in front of him.
"Uncle Tony?" Ares said, catching the man's attention. Tony hummed, letting the boy know he could continue. "Mommy come soon?" Tony sighed with a small smile, knowing he would ask that.
Ares was the biggest momma's boy he'd ever seen but Olivia wasn't complaining. She loved these boys immensely.
"Mhm, she'll be here next week so be good, and don't tell her I let you guys eat ice cream before bed." He says making the boys laugh.
Seriously though, Olivia would kill him if she knew he was feeding her kids sugar before bed and messing with their sleep schedule.
"I miss mommy." Apollo sighed, for such a small child he was oddly somber about life.
Much like his mom, I guess.
Taking care of Ares and Apollo for the past half month had shown him just how much Olivia struggled. How she was able to do this every single day for the rest of their lives was beyond him.
Especially since Noah bailed. He was so adamant to take the boys in and help Olivia out but as soon as she leaves, poof, he's gone.
He knew April didn't have that kind of power over him so it had to be something else.
Something or someone in Italy fucked with his head.
Maybe his brother? Noah rarely spoke of him but when he did it was never fondly. Even though they both equally hated their father, Noah was always more obedient.
From how Noah spoke of him, his brother used every chance to go against their father.
Noah always used to tell the same story.
His brother fell in love with someone he shouldn't have and his father was livid, taking it all out on Noah until their father finally dragged him back kicking and screaming.
Noah endured two years of torture at their father's hands all because his older brother couldn't keep it in his pants.
Tony never wanted to pry into it, knowing Noah hated speaking about it but also because he always got oddly aggressive.
Noah was rarely aggressive or maybe he was and hid it well.
Tony suddenly remembered the way Noah looked at the twins when he came to pick up his things.
His face held emotions he never dared to imagine Noah would show toward them.
Disgust, anger, fear.
Flashback...
Tony just finished putting Ares and Apollo down for their afternoon nap after talking on the phone with their mother for a bit when the jingling of keys at the front door put him on high alert.
