Chibs was at the back of her mind as she pulled into the parking lot of the office building where she worked. Although she hated missing lunch, she didn't want whatever problem was with her car to get any worse. Getting settled back in her office, she quickly immersed herself in work and the case she'd been assigned to work on. She was putting together a case against drug dealers and she hoped her new employer would be proud of her work when she was all done. She was a tiger in the courtroom and never let anyone intimidate her no matter who they were. Chibs, on the other hand, couldn't get her out of his mind. He was already completely infatuated with the young woman. It depressed him that she didn't even seem fazed by his kutte or that he was part of the MC. Most women fawned over them but not her. It was depressing but refreshing all at the same time. By the time the workday ended, he was more than ready for a few beers to drown out his sorrows!

She was bidding her coworkers a good evening before she left the office for the day. Her stomach was making ungodly noises reminding her of the fact that she'd skipped lunch to have her car looked at. It was a small miracle it was something simple and they already had the part there to switch it out with. Driving home, she began debating with herself on what to make for dinner. It was just her, so she didn't have to make much. Tacos sounded pretty good so she immediately started thawing a one-pound package of hamburger meat in the microwave when she got home. As it was thawing, she began chopping half an onion and a small tomato. Once they were chopped, she put the dishes in the fridge to stay cool while she cooked the hamburger meat. Ashka didn't use pre-seasoned packages of taco seasoning. She made her own and her tacos were always amazing. She also made her own spaghetti sauce which was amazing as well. It was a trick her grandmother had taught her when she was little.

Once the meat was drained and ready to be seasoned, she added all the seasonings, a little water to help mix it all together, and let it all simmer for about fifteen minutes. While her meat mixture was simmering, she set the table and refilled her tea glass. With that done, she brought the saucers of diced onions and tomatoes, hard taco shells, and a bag of pre-shredded cheese to the table. She checked on the meat and smiled as it was ready. Moving the skillet to the table, she gave thanks then began making a couple tacos. It was a bit lonely cooking for one but she had done that back in Texas too since it had been a few years since she'd had a serious boyfriend. She did help her grandmother cook holiday meals but that wasn't the same as cooking day-to-day like this. She wasn't even sure she wanted a boyfriend either since her last one had cheated on her and gotten his other girlfriend pregnant while he was still dating her. It had infuriated her to no end and she had broken up with him as soon as she'd found out.

Chibs was sitting at the diner with Tig and Juice and wondering what Ashka was doing at that very moment. Was she cooking for herself? Did she order in? Was she going out to eat? How well did she cook if she cooked at all? Where did she move from? Did she have a significant other already and that's why she didn't want to go out with him? He sighed making Tig look over at him curiously. Chibs just shook his head as their dinner was brought to them. The waitress, as usual, began flirting with them all but Chibs just waved her off before he dug into his dinner. There was only one woman he wanted and that was Ashka. Although she was short, she was still one of the most striking women he'd seen in a long time. All the crow eaters at the clubhouse were nothing compared to her. Ashka had class. Why did thinking about this woman depress him so? Was it because she'd turned down his advances the first time they'd actually met? Was it because there was a chance he'd never get to call her his? Was she just playing hard to get? He sighed again making Tig look over at him again. Chibs just shrugged but remained quiet as Juice was yammering on about something he wasn't interested in.

It was a few weeks later when Chibs got his chance to talk to Ashka again. Everyone could see how depressed the medic was and no one knew why. Seeing the Metallic blue SUV pulling into the lot, Chibs smiled and wiped his hands off on a grease rag. He strolled over hoping he could help her as he watched Ashka climb out of the driver's seat. Looking around, her eyes landed on the man with the scars across his face. What was his name again? Chet? Chester? No that wasn't it. Chibs! That was it. Chibs. He smiled warmly at her as he came to a stop by where she stood by her SUV.
