Chapter 25 Birthdays and Race 4

Chapter 25

~Danielle's POV~

I woke up in a very good mood except for Maddy was hogging my bed. My feet were cold and I placed my feet on her back. Maddy quickly woke up and jumped off my bed. I looked over to my bedside table and my camo key with my initials in orange was laying their. I smiled as I remembered what all happened yesterday.

I thought about going up to the house to clean it out and work on some of the painting. I climbed out of bed and into the shower.

I dressed myself in old blue jean shirts and a old tank top. I walked downstairs and talked to my mom while Maddy was in the shower.

"Hey mother." I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of Oj. "I'm thinking about going up to our house and doing some repainting and cleaning. What all do I need." My mom started naming all the things that I would need as in cleaner wise. I grabbed everything that she said and set them in a pile by the door. Maddy walked downstairs and was wondering what was going on.

"Hey Maddy what are you doing today." I received a shrug of the shoulders so I kept talking. "Would you want to come with me up to the house and help me out." Maddy nodded her head and I grabbed the cleaning supplies and set them in a plastic tote.

After I had grabbed everything that we would need Maddy and I headed out to my jeep.

"Oh shit I forgot my key." I ran back inside and grabbed my camo key off the nightstand. I ran back outside yelling goodbye to Jase.

"Ok so we can stop at that lowes that we stopped at with the guys and grab brooms and other things." Maddy nodded her head while I was trying to pull my hair up in a pony tail. Dustin was helping to fix a couple spots in the fence with his dad and do some repairs so I didn't have to worry about seeing Dustin up their.

The long trip an hour away we finally pulled into the lowes. Maddy and I walked inside and quickly grabbed anything that we needed. I picked up a can of blue paint that would match the flower designs on the posts on the front porch and the random places inside and made our way back out to my jeep.

30 minutes later we were pulling into the driveway and Maddy was almost hanging out the window looking at the house.

"Oh my josh Danielle this place is beautiful." I smiled and parked my jeep. We climbed out and got working. After about 3 hours later we sat down on the leather couches and admired our work.

Everything was clean and the details on the wood was so much more noticeable. We packed everything up and headed back home.

"Thanks Maddy for the help today." She smiled and turned the radio up while we drove down the interstate. I dropped Maddy off at her house and made my way back to mine.

I quickly got a shower and headed to bed. It didn't take me long and I was passed out.

~Two weeks later~

~Danielle's POV~

"I think we got our last bag unpacked." Dustin and I plopped down on the couches and closed our eyes. Dustin laid down and I laid down next to him in his arms with my head on his chest.

This whole week Dustin and I worked on moving and I think other than the racing stuff and the razors we got everything unpacked. I sighed thinking that most of it was done. I soon slipped into dreamland with Dustin's soft snoring beside me. The thought of being able to do this every night brought a smile to my face before sleep completely took over.

I woke up and Dustin was still snoring. I gently climbed over him onto the ground without waking him up. He stirred but went right back to sleep. I dropped a light blanket over his body and made my way upstairs to shower.
