Chapter 9
••••••••••
~Danielle's POV~I woke up with Maddys feet in my face.
"Ew Maddy get away from me." I pushed her off my bed and I heard a groan. She had a tendency to sleep walk and when she comes back she sleeps in a weird position.
I don't think she knows that she sleep walks. I've tried to tell her before but she never believes me. We've found the peanut butter open on the kitchen table and some on her face. The stuff she does. Her mom told me that she has gone out in the garage before and started working on her truck.
I slipped out of bed and into the shower. I just noticed the pain and tiredness in my arms and legs. I'm going to have to do some stretches and some works out to be better at racing.
I rinsed off and stepped out of the shower. Maddy was waiting for me to get out half asleep, leaning on the wall.
"Maddy your hand is still bandaged up." She looked down and unwrapped the gauze and looked at her knuckles. She shrugged her shoulders and walked past me into the bathroom.
Maddy is not a morning person half the time and today is one of those days. I chuckled to myself and got dressed. I was doing my hair when Maddy came out.
She looked a lot better and she headed toward her stash of clothes and pulled some out and got dressed. She came back out of my bathroom and looked puzzled. I looked at her.
"What the hell happened yesterday. I can't feel my shoulder." I stood up and walked over to Maddy. She was rolling it, trying to regain feeling.
I lifted her sleeve up to look at her shoulder. I gasped.
"Damn Maddy no wonder you can't feel your shoulder. Look in the mirror." Their was a huge black and blue bruise a little bigger than a softball.
She walked over and lifted her sleeve and gasped. Recognition flashed in her eyes.
"I remember what happened. When I was kidnapped they threw me inside the box trailer and I landed on my shoulder." My mouth made a "o" shape. I said I would be right back and walked down stairs. I grabbed a Ice pack and some ace wrap.
When I got back upstairs Maddy was doing her hair and was having difficulty. I walked up around her and placed the ice pack on her arm and wrapped ace wrap around it to keep it on.
She winced at the coldness and I brushed out her hair. I did a French braid and helped her get ready.
I grabbed her backpack and mine and we headed out the door. She wasn't able to lift many things with that arm because it hurt so much.
We pulled up the the schools parking lot and I parked next to Dustin.
He was standing on the sidewalk and walked over to my side when we pulled in. I was greeted by a kiss.
"Hi baby." I smiled I still wasn't used to us quite yet.
"Hi." I smiled and helped Maddy grab her backpack. Dustin must have noticed the ice pack on her arm.
"Maddy what did you do." She looked at her arm and back at Dustin.
"When I was kidnapped and they threw me in the box trailer and I landed on my shoulder." She removed the ice pack and Dustin's eyes went wide.
"Damn Maddy how did we not notice that before. That's got to hurt." I placed the pack back on her arm.
"I don't know but I think it started to bruise when I fell asleep." Maddy stated shifting her backpack on her other shoulder.
