Chapter 19

~Danielle's POV~

I've been stressing out because the teachers have been making us do all these test and telling us what we need to do for graduation. It was driving me nuts. Even though I didn't graduate for another two months it's been hell for all of us.

This is why I'm so glad that it's Friday and Dustin and I are going on a date. He told me to wear jeans and boots. I grabbed a pair of jeans, flannel shirt and my cowgirl hat to match with my boots.

I haven't worn my hat in a while but it felt perfect sitting on my head. I checked myself in the mirror one last time making sure my curls stayed and I made my way downstairs to a waiting Dustin.

As I was walking downstairs all the conversations stopped. When I got down to the bottom dustin was staring at me. I smiled because he was wearing a cowboy hat to. He smiled and grabbed my hand. I waved goodbye to my family and walked out the door.

When we got in the truck he finally stopped staring. But only because his lips were on mine.

"You look amazing Danielle." I smiled and looked out the windshield.

"Your not looking to bad yourself." I hit the brim of his hat with my finger and he smirked.

"But I do think you look the absolute best in race gear or maybe no clothes at all." I rolled my eyes and looked out my window. I still couldn't help keeping my smile hidden. "I know your smiling." I smiled more and he kissed my cheek and set his truck in drive.

"So what are we doing." He smiled and grabbed my hand.

"We are going to my old farm and I wanted to show you around. My aunt and uncle take care of it now. I called and nobody's going to be home. And I packed us snacks and other things. We might do a little bit of mudding." He sent me a wink and I smiled as we pulled out of my driveway.

I set my hat on my lap and scooted closer to him. I laid my head on his shoulder and watched the trees pass by.

Before I knew it we were pulling into the farm. He parked the truck in front of a barn and we jumped out. My eyes wandering around.

"We won't be here for long." I nodded my head and let him lead the way. He opened the big barn door and grabbed a set of keys. He removed the tarp on a Polaris Ranger. We jumped in but it took a couple tries to get it started.

Once it finally did we were off. We just rode around and he would tell me what all happened their. The one stop that we made was a tree house.

We jumped out and Dustin motioned me to climb the ladder. I was a little cautious climbing but I felt better when my feet were on the floor boards of the house.

He climbed up and looked around. It was a little cramped but it would have been the perfect size for two little kids. He picked up a Nerf dart and smiled.

"I've had so many memories here. From good to bad. We fell out of here a couple times. I sprang my wrist once and Braden almost broke his arm." He smiled more walking around. I watched him in curiosity as memories danced in his head.

I let him have his space before I did or said anything. When he was done I walked up to him and ran my hands over his chest.

He didn't take long to bring our lips together and picking me up against the wall. My legs were wrapped around his hips and he was holding me up by putting his hands on my butt.

We pulled apart looking in each other's eyes. I knew I wanted him right now, right here but I had to wait. I was going to let Dustin go on with the date and maybe something will happen afterwards.
