Hunter, amity and lucia all sat in the living room of the dorm in an awkward silence.

"So.." lucia began, hugging her stomach out of awkwardness. Hunter cleared his throat. "Lucia your mom.." he began with a sad expression. "She's in the hospital, she had a heart attack last night." Hunter explained. Lucia's eyes widened and she felt tears begin to well up in her eyes. "No.." Was all she could get out. Her mom was fine.. right? Amity moved her hand to place a reassuring touch. "Lucia, it's gonna be okay..

"No!" She snapped again, pushing amity's hand away. "Is she okay?!" Lucia demanded, getting up and grabbing her coat. Things were fine 5 minutes ago when she was kissing amity. How the hell did it end up like this?

"Lucia, where are you going?" Amity followed after her. "I don't know." Lucia turned to face amity. Her breathing was shaking and tears were streaming down her face. Amity had never seen her cry, and was glad she hadn't because it broke her heart seeing someone she cared about break down into tears. The two just stared at each other for a moment. "Lucia.." amity whispered before pulling her into a hug.

She could feel the shoulder of her shirt being soaked. At least this gave her an excuse to wash it.

Lucia continued to cry for a solid minute before finally pulling away. "I'm sorry." She croaked, her eyes were puffy and red from crying. "No, don't apologise. I know this must really hurt. But I'm sure you're mom will be okay?.. we can go and visit her.. if you want?" Amity suggested. Shit. This meant she was going to have to meet Lucia's mom. But it also meant she will be able to learn more about her relationship with her mother.

The Latina gave her a small nod before turning to Hunter. "Will you come with us? You know, since you're kinda like family." Hunter couldn't help but pout. He loved it every time someone showed told him how close they were.

"Of course." He grinned.

Everyone got themselves ready and headed out of the building.

They all headed out into amity's car and took a seat. Lucia and amity in the front and unfortunately, Hunter in the back. His knees were almost touching his chest with how tall he was, Though he seemed not to mind, he just proceeded to use his phone.

Amity started the ignition and they went on their way to the hospital.

Lucia stared out the window, lost on some sort of trance, and this time it wasn't because she was on drugs. She was too busy thinking about what could go wrong to hear amity saying her name.

"Lucia?"

"Huh?" Lucia turned to Amity who had just been calling her name.

"Are okay?.."

"I.. I'm fine." Lucia gave a weak smile and looked out the window once again. It was raining outside and she could only listen to the sound of the rain pattering on the windows of the car. She couldn't converse with Hunter or amity. She couldn't even try to think of anything that might make her feel better.

Finally Lucia had tuned back into reality when they pulled into the large parking lot of the city's hospital. There were cars and ambulances everywhere.

The trio got out of the car and began making their way into the large building, being soaked by the rain as they did so.

Lucia could feel the anxiety building up inside of her with every step they took closer to the Hospital. Her mother was in there, potentially on the verge of death.

Suddenly she felt her heart skip a beat when she felt a hand grab her own.

"It's okay luz, we'll be with you the whole time." Amity said in a soft tone, while Hunter nodded in agreement. Again, Lucia gave a weak but genuine smile at the reassurance.
