Chapter 10

I wake up from a nap that I didn't know I took to find the sunsetting through the window beside my bed. I get up to see if there is anything to eat,because I'm starving. I haven't had a meal since breakfast. I walk into the living room to find no one there. As I walk into the kitchen to get some food, I find a sandwich from Jersey Mikes and a note,
Aubrey,
Sorry we left you home,but we went out to release some stress and to get out of the house. We were going to bring you along but found you sleeping and didn't want to wake you up. I hope you like the sandwich and if you need anything call us. We will get home around 10:00 and will bring you a treat.

After I read the letter I unwrap the sandwich to find an Italian sandwich waiting to be eaten. As I take my first bite I get the crunch of the bread and taste the different types of vinaigrette and the different meats as they work as one to taste amazing.
After I finish the last bite of my sandwich I gets up and throw away my trash. I get a drink of Sprite and sit down on the couch. I scroll through the guide until I see a movie. I try to think of something else to do to pass the time when my phone rings. I glance at the number and don't recognize it,so I let it go to voicemail. I wait a couple of minutes until I hear the ding of voicemail and unlock my phone. As I press play and put the phone onto my ear I hear a heavy breathe on the other line. Then I hear the message left for me.
I was hoping do you to answer my call,but I thought that you would want some information about your parents accident. I might even have some information that know one knows,not even the police. Well anyways if you want to know call back at this number 836-482-8299. Then it's over.
