Chapter 11

I set my phone down on the couch too frightened to do anything. I stare at the TV blankly trying to figure out what's going on. The next 30 minutes goes by too slowly. What did he mean that he knew some information about my parents accident.? I listen to the message again and decide that I should call the number,but before I can type the number I hear the garage door open and quickly turn off my phone.

I turn around to see Jason behind me and my grandma at the table." If you want your treat you better get it before I eat it!"he says in a tone that he is kidding,but knowing he will eat it." Are you kidding me, no your not!" I say as I start running for the kitchen table. I sit down as my grandma brings me the surprise. "Salted caramel milkshake,for you and enjoy."my grandma says with a huge smile on her face. I take a long sip from the thick milkshake and I'm suddenly in heaven. Each sip takes away all the problems away, but I get to the bottom to quickly and I'm back in reality.

I get up from the table and head towards my room to change into pajamas." Psst, Aubrey."I hear some say. I turn my head towards Jason's room to find him standing in the door way. "What?" I say in a hushed whisper. He motions me into his room and sits down on the bed. He pats on the bed and I sit down next to him. As I look around the room it looks like mine but the bed sheets are tan." So,why did you ask me to come in here?" I asked wanting to know what was on his mind. He looks around the room,like he is making sure no one else was there." Did you get the call about mom and dad?"as he asks the question my face drops into an expression that gives him the answer.
