The next day, Annabelle and Prince Bill stood on the Vampire Prince's balcony. "I'm starting to worry about my father." "Your father is very ill. Is that true?" "Yes, that's right." "We can't see him from here. Wait here for a moment." Prince Bill left leaving Annabelle alone. A short time later, Prince Bill returned with a hand mirror and handed the mirror to Annabelle. "My stepfather, the brave King Gordon, gave this hand mirror to my mother when they got engaged. It's a magic mirror. It can show you the things you want to see." Annabelle looked in the mirror and took a deep breath. "Show me my father." The mirror showed what Annabelle wanted to see. "I'm so very sorry, Your Royal Highness. I have to go back to Magdeburg. My father is dying." "Return to Magdeburg. Keep the mirror, you might find it useful." "Thanks for everything Prince Bill." "Come back soon." Annabelle made her way to Magdeburg as quickly as possible. "Annabelle, where have you been?" asked the townspeople. "Later. My father dies," she answered, went home and her father died peacefully in the presence of her mother, her brother and her presence.
