Forms of luck

"W-what did you.. say...?" I said, replying to Doflamingo in a quivered voice.

His expression grew wider in amusement as he saw my soul slip away from my body.

"I did it, (Y/n). I Killed them all. With just one order— I KIL-"

"SHUT UP ALREADY!!"

Slightly tilting my head, searching for the one who yelled out. I could see Law gripping his katana; his never once smiling lips grew into an aggressive frown and his forehead formed into veins of anger.

"I wont let you torment her more than you already have, Doflamingo. She finally found the one she's been looking for for years and you're here— letting everything fall into pieces!!"

The blonde man stared towards Law's direction with confusion, "So you think she found the one, huh? Ace.. right.. Fufufufu~ if she loved that man, she would have hopped into his arms and not mine. Don't you remember that one day in Dressrosa where you were trying to attack me? Her fragile heart couldn't take it when Ace didn't remember her fiancé. Hmhmhmhm.. but I did~"

Deciding to speak up, an arm from my right side rose up towards my face.

"I understand that what I said was wrong and I know what I did was incorrect. All I have to offer her is a life where we're both together. We want to complete that together, and you wont stop us from having that life together."

Ace's words helped me regain some sanity.

"Well, I'll make sure that you die then. I've already ruined this woman's sanity.. why not finish off the blow? At least I'll give her what she wanted from the beginning; death, right (Y/n)?"

I honestly didn't know how to reply. I want to live for Ace and the others I have now, but how the hell am I supposed to kill Doflamingo? Am I able to at least control my devil fruit this once??

I concentrated my energy (I believe I was anyway) while having both of my hands tightened into fists.

Squeezing my eyes shut I drift hard into thought, hoping something in my mind would tell me what kind of luck was next.

"What do you think will happen once somebody dies?"

I twitched my head a bit, confused at the question that was only asked to me.

"You'd fall into utter despair just like when your whole crew was killed off... but what if... what if someone as important as them were to die as well...?"

What kind of question... is this supposed to be a sign of bad luck or good luck? Killing off Doffy is good but killing off someone like Ace is horrible.

"Bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo, bingo!! The last option seems fun to watch! Hey, if he does die though make sure you don't attack recklessly. I want to know if my luck will defeat Doflamingo. My luck comes at random, so I can't really change it for you if I wanted to. Now go."

My eyes were forced open and my hands were forced to let go of my firm grip.

Speaking to your fruit, bfhah, cant be possible. I'm probably just going crazy.

But i stilled believed my thoughts.

My head dangled, wearing a lifeless face, "Ace... whatever you do... don't die on me, okay...?" I said these words with no hints of life whatsoever. My sense of living was gone, but giving up still wasn't an option.

"Thanks for the consideration." Law said snickering.

"Oh— you too Law—"

We all set our stances, once again, ready to attack.

Now let us hope for justice. Just this once.

We all pounced towards Doflamingo, glaring at each other with intent to kill.

Knowing that we couldn't go overboard with our emotions towards this hated man, we stick to the plan no matter the situation.

Ace was the first to strike, "Fire cross!" With this attack, Ace put his forefingers like a cross, emitting fire from each of the two fingers.

A cross was created on Doflamingo's chest; I'm assuming this is a concentration of Ace's attack.

Fire sprung out of his two fingers, creating a beam of fire— which directed at Doflamingo.

Due to the concentration that was placed of the tall man, there wasn't a great chance of escaping.

Once the fire hit and burst into a wide range of flames, sounds of laughter came from behind me.

I turn around and spot a glimpse of his crimson shades.

"It would take more than that to defeat me, fufufu~"

I turned back to the explosion of fire that was once there and spotted Doflamingo's body, but it was covered in holes filled with string.

A clone of some sort?

"My ito ito no mi— well you already know that its a string power, but sadly, it's a Paramecia-type devil fruit. Portgas D. Ace's inherits a logia-type devil fruit. That in all should tell us who will win this battle, right?"

A Logia-type devil fruit user, like Ace, can control their surrounding with the power they've received; Ace can control his fire any way he pleases. Paramecia-type devil fruit users, like Doflamingo, can only control their power to an extent.

Ace, would be the winner in any means. His intangibility says it all.

"However..." Doflamingo said while his clone faded into only string, "somebody here with an unfortunate fruit can cause a change in events that wont simply seem possible,"

Does he really thing he can win against somebody you can't touch? Thats literally impossible.

"Don't you think your luck may change, (Y/n)..? If your devil fruit effects luck from your range in distance, then that luck can be affected towards me. With luck, maybe I can win, fufufu~"

"Lets make things more interesting, yah?" The voice inside my head said in jubilance, "I will allow each one of you to have a different form of luck. I can only activate this for a certain amount of time- but I'm sure the battle will end before that time limit."

What the hell? Why would something like that happen now??

"I know I said that I couldn't control your luck, and well, I still can't. I'm just giving out a variety, that's all. I didn't want to use this on you when you first ate the fruit because with multiple fates of luck, comes great amounts of chaos."
