It has been four whole days since I noticed Jane was missing. Three days since I called her in as missing person. Two days since we also noticed Harry was missing too.
The search began three days ago.
I don't know how long they both have been missing for. I don't know if they went missing together. I'm still trying to piece all of it.
The last time I was in contact with Jane was three days after I moved out. I moved out the day after she did. We called each other and I awkwardly listened to her choked sobs. I left her alone to give her space; now look what's happened.
Becca said she last saw Harry around the same time my records matched with Jane. She went to help him move in but he shooed her away. He said he wanted to be alone and she let him.
When I went to talk to him to let him know about Jane, he didn't answer. I kicked the door in and found it empty. The hallway didn't have any cameras. I was at a dead end with Harry. I let Mitch know and after further investigating, he was announced as a missing person too.
News outlets are starting to report on it. Flooding the outside of the company building to interview anybody. Waiting at the mansion's gates to get a word from Becca or Mitch.
Harry disappeared from his apartment without a trace. Jane also disappeared from her hotel room. Her phone was left in an abandoned alleyway, leaving all of us to suspect Jane and possibly Harry have been kidnapped.
Flora has flown into town and is staying at the mansion. After charging Jane's phone, I got in contact with her old sister who flew in with her daughter and younger sister.
It's all getting overwhelming.
"Jane Matthews disappeared on a Sunday, last seen on surveillance cameras leaving the hotel she was staying at, and never returning." One of the investigators plays the footage of Jane leaving the hotel. She took a taxi to whatever her location was. We're still trying to track down the taxi in hopes of finding out where it took her. I narrow my eyes at the screen, scanning Jane's pixelated face for answers.
She looks left and right outside.
"She looks visibly nervous. She's being aware of her surroundings." I say out loud. "I've seen her face when she's nervous, and that's exactly what it is."
Jane, where the fuck did you go?
She would've given me a heads-up if she had run away. She left all of her belongings in her hotel room and in the storage unit. Her phone was left in an alleyway.
Her last call was to Harry an hour before surveillance caught her leaving. She had a deleted text conversation that we're trying to recover.
Did they run away together?
I don't know.
Some things aren't adding up correctly.
The investigator nods. He clicks his remote and the tv switches to Harry. "Harry Styles was last seen on surveillance on that same Sunday, moving in boxes with his older sister helping him. He was in contact with his sister up until Tuesday."
In the small meeting room is the investigation team that Mitch hired and me. I could never admit to the Styles' out loud that I think Rebecca could be guilty. She's our number one suspect. The last person to see Harry and the last person to speak with him.
You can't be that stupid in not covering your tracks.
"Rebecca Styles is our number one suspect right now." Another investigator announces. "After looking at her record, she has nothing bad on there. A few employees at the office and the mansion have mentioned the arguments she would get into with Harry, becoming more recent after their father announced Harry would be receiving the company instead of her."
