"Now you may be expecting some type of badass pep talk from me like you see in those movies," Zayn stands with his legs apart, hands behind his back, "you're not getting that from me. Both of you need this training. Jane to get her anger out and Harry to learn how to defend himself. We're going to start off with basics right now and if you two enjoy it, you're more than welcome to continue."

Harry and I stand side to side in the center of the boxing ring, staring at Zayn as he continues. Both Harry and Zayn are wearing sleeveless shirts, both revealing their tattooed arms. I could spend the whole day looking at their tattoos, trying to understand their stories if I could.

Harry's wearing a white tank top while Zayn's wearing a black one. They're both in shorts and I brought them sweatbands just in case.

I'm one to get carried away with myself so I put my hair into boxer braids. I think they look cute. I'm wearing all black as well even a tank top, except I don't have any tattoos covering my arms.

"Jane." Zayn claps his hands at me, making me blink hardly. "No time for zoning out. I'm going instructor mode and we have no time for distractions."

I roll my eyes at him, taking in a deep breath, "I'm focused."

"Who's up first?" His eyes trail from me to Harry.

Harry and I make eye contact, his head nodding towards me. "Ladies first."

"Bullshit-"

"Jane! You're up." Zayn says loudly. "We're going to practice our stances first so Harry, join her. Now Jane do you remember anything from the class you took?"

"Not really." I walk a few steps closer to him mimicking his pose.

He sighs in frustration, "Looks like I am going full instructor mode. Right now I'm your boxing instructor, not your roommate Zayn or your sister's bodyguard, Zayn. Got that? Great. Now, are you guys right or left-handed?"

"Zayn, seriously?" I scoff, followed by a laugh.

"Answer the question." He groans.

"Right." I reply.

"Me too." Harry gulps.

"Okay, so when you go into your form your opposite shoulder should always face your opponent. This is the basic form slash stance that might be your go-to form. Spread your feet and legs apart, point your left foot towards me with your right foot back, and slightly bend your knees- - slightly! That's basically a squat, Jane! Loosen up your knees! You want loose knees, not locked ones!"

"Sorry." I try to slightly bend my knees this time, loosely clenching my fists together.

"Harry, relax your posture. For once you're kicking ass, not modeling. You two need to loosen up." He groans.

"Your right fist should always be closer to your face than your left. And always remember to keep your chin down. Now try and mimic some punching moves before the real thing. First your left and each time you punch you exhale."

I quickly punch my left arm out, exhaling through my mouth after. I bring my fist back to its position. I don't focus on Harry at all. I forgot he was even standing next to me until I heard his exhale shoot out of his mouth.

"Now when you go with your right fist try twisting your hip." He demonstrates the move then waits for me to follow. "Harry I said your right hip, not your whole body."

"Is all of this necessary? Zayn you're taking this role a little bit too seriously-"

"Do you guys want to learn how to box or not? It's truly a great thing to do but you need to fix your posture! Jesus who knew you two were so stiff! You guys are lucky I'm being nice right now. I could get you an actual instructor that will not hold back. Is that what you two want?"
