I felt lightheaded for the smallest second when Harry brought up the idea of moving out together. I was caught off guard and would've never imagined those words coming out of his mouth.

He's kidding.

He wouldn't move in with me.

It's too early.

We haven't even been in a relationship for a week!

This is happening way too fast. He's joking. He has to be joking.

He stays serious the entire time I sit there in silence, trying to process my thoughts. "Don't joke around like that."

"I'm serious."

He is serious. He didn't smirk at me and I couldn't hear any hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"We just started a relationship, Harry. Did you forget how I wanted to take things slow? Don't you think we're moving too fast? I mean we've only-"

"I know this is unexpected and quick for you. But I've spent a lot of time thinking about it. I've already started looking for places."

I narrow my eyes at him, scanning his pupils.

They're normal.

And his breath doesn't smell like whiskey.

He's sober?

"You've spent a lot of time thinking about it?" I nearly scoff, "Did you stop to think about the cons that would affect not only you but your family too?"

"What? How would I moving out ever affect my family?"

"Do you think your dad will be fond of you living alone while they're still out there? One quick sweep of your recent activity and they can easily find that you're living alone and where. You're putting yourself into more danger if you move out alone." I warn him. "Your dad hired Zayn and me to keep you and Becca safe. I'd lose my place to stay if you moved out-"

"You'd come live with me, Jane."

"I can't live with you."

"Why not? I know you may think we're moving too fast here but you said it yourself, you wished we would've done something sooner. What's living together going to change? We've lived in the same place for months and are always with each other. Living together would only bring us closer together."

"I can't move out with you, Harry." I inhale a deep breath, trying to contain the small anger building up in my stomach, "You're not getting it."

"You keep saying that but you don't give me a reason. Tell me why you don't. Why don't you want to move out with me? We'd get all the privacy we want. No one would interrupt us. We'd do anything we want. We'd have everything we ever wanted."

"I barely let myself get into a new relationship without thinking much of my past. You know how adamant I am about taking things slow. Moving in together when we haven't known each other for a year is the opposite of taking things slow." I calmly say, "I like how things are right now. I like living here and I like my job and I like where we are right now in our relationship. I don't want it to change just yet."

"You can stay here if you want but I'm done living here. I don't want to live with my dad anymore. I have a few apartments I'm already interested in-"

"You can't move out." I stop him, "You're not understanding how dangerous that is. You're still in danger, Harry!"

"And if you moved in with me I wouldn't be."

"So that's why you want me to move out with you? To be your bodyguard twenty-four-seven?"
