After my little attack, I got some water at a coffee shop nearby and I fixed up my makeup. I can't go home. My phones completely shattered and I'd be there doing nothing. Zara is working right now so I can't visit her. I have no other choice but to go back to work. Go back and face Harry.
After my shift, I'll sneak over to the Apple store and buy a new phone or something. The cheapest one. Something to keep me entertained for now.
I'm standing in front of the Styles building. I keep telling myself everything is going to be okay. I just need to forget everything that happened in the last hour. Like Harry didn't see me at my worst moment possible.
God that's just another person on the list that knows I have panic attacks. It's only Zara and Amaya that know. Only Zara knows how bad they would get sometimes.
I'm now standing in front of Harry's office. I take in a deep breath, knocking on the door a few times. There's no answer. Am I interrupting something again?
"Oh, Harry left like an hour ago, Jane," Angela calls out.
He left? He never returned after we left the alley? I thought his lunch break wasn't for another hour after mine. Where the hell did he go?
I open the door and quickly slip into the office. I shut the door behind me, pressing my back flat against it. The room is quiet. Too quiet.
Deep breath in. Deep breathe out.
This is weird. I've never been in Harry's office without Harry being in it. I could snoop through his personal belongings. Read his emails. Go through his drawers. Yet I have nothing in me that wants to do it in the slightest.
I don't have any work to do. He's not here to tell me what to do. What the hell do I do? I stroll over to my side of the office, sitting down in my chair.
I lean back, twisting side to side in the chair out of pure boredom. Wouldn't he be back by now? I mean I came back in time, why wouldn't he?
"Harry?" The door opens a bit and in peaks in a blonde girl with tanned skin. Her eyes land on me and her face falls flat. "Where's Harry?"
I shrug, "I just got here."
She pushes the door open, walking right in. With one kick the door is closed and she walks over to Harry's desk, sitting down in his chair. "Since it's just the two of us here, we should have a little chat."
"I'm sorry but um who are you?" I watch as she struts over to Harry's desk, sitting in his chair.
"Jennifer Nickson." She smiles, "Don't remember me? I'm the girl you caught Harry with twice. Now I've never gotten the chance to get your name. What is it again?"
My eyes slightly widen at the realization. She's the girl that ran out of Harry's office the first time I was introduced to him. She's the one I caught giving him a blowjob under his desk a while ago. I look over at her and she's scanning her cuticles.
She has almost platinum blonde hair with red lipstick on. She has a white button-up, revealing a bit of her cleavage, and a black shirt with black heels. Looks like Harry has a type.
"I'm sure Harry will be here any minute now-"
"Do you like him?" She asks with no hesitation.
What kind of question is that? I'm taken aback by that question. I'm staring at her like she's crazy, because she is. "Excuse me?"
"What's your name again?" She looks up from her nails, looking at me like I'm dumb.
"Jane." I furrow my eyebrows.
