"Harry was targeted." Mitch breathes out, crossing his hands together. He seems awfully calm for his son being targeted earlier. "And we're lucky as hell that the news outlets got ahold of any of this information."

After we got to the dock the paramedics took in the girls and checked out my hands and knees for any injury. I had a few cuts and glass in my skin but I got cleaned up and I'm okay. It was of course reported back to the agency and the police, but I know how this stuff goes. Unless Mitch pays them or something like that, this is going to get swept under the rug.

"We already reported it back to the agency and the police, which can lead to an investigation since there were multiple witnesses and an injury-"

"I don't care about any of that stuff." He waves his hand down, "This means the gang is tired of waiting around. Harry can get targeted at any time now. He's in more danger. Because of this, we need to have a higher radar, more security, and more protection. Zayn, you'll probably get a few more guards to help you when in public with Becca. As for you, Jane."

"Don't you think this will all just make Harry start to catch onto this whole...act? I hate to say this but you have to tell Harry about the gang coming back for him." I avoid making eye contact, my eyes darting to his picture frame on his desk. It's a picture of Harry and Becca. They both have serious looks on their face and wearing matching black outfits.

"Not yet," He shakes his head no, "I need to upgrade security without him noticing. That's when I called my ex-wife and settled an agreement."

I glance over at Zayn who's looking at him like he's crazy. At least in a subtle way.

"Harry will spend a weekend in Michigan with his mother and Jane, you'll accompany him." He says firmly.

"Michigan?" My eyes widen, my mouth slightly dropping. "You want me to travel with your son out of the state, alone?"

"We can add Becca and Zayn for company if you'd like." He smiles slightly, "They haven't seen their mother in a while anyway so it won't be out of the blue for me to randomly send them over there."

Zayn and I exchange a look, both thinking the same thing. What the hell?

"And when you all come back I'll tell Harry about André and his gang. It'll only be a weekend trip. You guys leave Friday evening and come back Monday morning." He pauses to clear his throat, "My ex-wife and her husband are very welcoming people and I'm sure they'll make you feel right at home."

I didn't do much research about Harry's mother. I thought she moved back to London or something. Are they even from London? I don't know.

I'm guessing she made millions off of the divorce, why the hell would she decide to move to Michigan out of all places? Zayn and I are both speechless. We were talking about stepping up our security and now we're going on a trip to Michigan?

"So," I finally speak, folding together my hands, "Tell us more about your ex-wife. We don't even know her name and we're unexpectedly going to stay at her home for a weekend."

He nods, "Her name's Flora and she married a year after our split. She says she lives in a more secluded area and has a farm out in her backyard. I'm sure she'll tell you more about herself when you see her. She always loved talking about herself."

Must be where Harry and Becca get their arrogance from.

After Zayn and I leave Mitch's office, I spend the rest of my night packing. I don't need a lot of stuff but I'd rather do it now than stay up the day of because I forgot to pack. I'm in my room with a small suitcase on my bed. So far I've packed up three pairs of pj's and one outfit for Saturday.

I hear three knocks coming from my door and without looking at my door I respond with, "Come in."

Zayn walks into my room, sitting down next to my suitcase. He has a drink in his hand and a pair of headphones resting on his neck. "We just got told we're going on that trip. Why are you packing so early?"

I fold my shirt neatly, laying it on top of the folded clothes. "It's never too early to start packing. Speaking of the trip, do you think he's going to make us fly like normal people do, or do you think he booked a private jet?"

"Private jet for sure." He nods, "And if we are flying 'regularly' it's definitely in first class."

Speaking of flying, I never got a new passport. A new passport with my new name on it. I only ever got a driver's license and a state ID. I don't need it if we're staying in the country but it's just another reminder I have to add to my list.

The guilt of Zayn not knowing of my past is slowly eating away at me. We've gotten closer since we've been assigned to Mitch. He's like the brother I never had. I'm too deep in to admit my past. He's an understanding dude, I'm sure he'll understand why I did everything when I got to New York. But if someone told me they aren't who they really are, I wouldn't be able to look at them for a few days.

"How do you think their mom's like?" I hum while still folding my clothes.

Zayn takes a long sip from his drink, "Maybe she's self-absorbed like her children or the total opposite. I don't know, but their kids' personalities don't seem like they came out of nowhere. It's definitely passed on from one parent."

I nod in agreement, walking over to my vanity to look for my ID. "I'm just glad I'm not going on this trip alone."

"At least you're not protecting Becca. She complains about everything and anything at all times! One day she's such a nice person and the next she's so bitchy." Zayn closes his eyes and shakes his head no.
