All Ally could remember was laughing with her family and then nothing. She didn't remember the screeching of tires, glass in her hair or her mother's screams. But it all happened, on a humid breezy summer night, when they were coming home from watching a movie. They were driving on a curved road with trees lining each side, Usually that road was calm in the evening but not tonight. A teenage boy, drunk, was driving 30 miles over the speed limit. He was driving past but at last minute managed to swerve and hit Ally's car. No one had seen it coming. Their car had flipped several times before smashing into a tree. It had been minutes until another car happened to drive by. The ambulance was called and the family was rushed to the hospital for critical care. Of course Ally's parents would tell her this when she woke in the hospital days later, but no one was to see what would happen next.
