As a powerful force leaps into the sky, it leaves a cloud of dust behind, one that hits two monkeys in the face. They looked to see if they could find any trace of him, but with no success.

They were forgotten.

For years, Flower Fruit Mountain had never been so quiet. Monkeys played around, which was a lovely sight. But there were no longer parties, no elders, and no population.

No pretty laughs coming from mischievous monkeys messing around and no more soldiers preparing for wars and battles that their King sent them to.

Sun Wukong looks at all the monkeys surrounding him with a gentle smile. It reminded him of years before when he was like one of these guys.

When he was with his sworn siblings.

Though when it was a war, he had his closest friends beside him. But they soon turned against him. Those cowards hid away...

With them we would have won for sure!
They were the reason why I was locked away right?
Ah, no matter how many times he thought to himself that he knew it was a lie. He knew really well.

"My first thought, when I found out I was going to be trained by the Great Sage, Equal to Heaven, wasn't that I would be working twelve hours a day hammering walls. Why am I doing this again?"

His new successor whined as he turned to the King, who only sat on his cloud, attention finally on Mk as he ate his chips.

The boy had been working hard, ditching his shifts, just for his teacher to give him such a useless lecture.

"Oh, so I can make a nice little breakfast nook. Get some light up in here!" Monkey King says as he waves his hand, not caring about the young boy's complaints. The boy needed to learn patience; this training was perfect!

"But, I'm the Monkie Kid! not Construction Boy! when do I get to learn the fighting stuff!?"

After the Great Sage had thrown his staff at the wall to show Monkie Kid what he could learn from this lesson, Mk got excited and wanted his teacher to show him how to do it, completely ignoring that he was already halfway through the process.

"Look, kid, You can't rush this stuff. Um, you need practice."

Upset by his mentor's words, he frowns. Just then, he had gotten a call. His ringtone echoed through the cave as he picked up the phone.

The loud noise from the other end of the call was his best friend showing him the monster that had just attacked Megapolis via the facetime they had going on. She tells Mk to help as quickly as possible, which he is delighted to hear since he didn't want to do this boring training.

"Wow, that's terrible! Guess I have to deal with that instead of doing this. Okay, bye!" he pauses as he points at the mural before quickly saying his goodbyes as he runs away.

Sun Wukong looked at the boy dashing out of the cave until Mk was out of sight. He sighed deeply. The monkeys on him looked at him, concerned. "That kid, When will he learn." He disliked how hypocritical he sounded. Of course, he couldn't get mad at Mk when he was just like him.

Mk rushes to his friends, quickly greeting them before looking at the monster, then charges at it, not waiting for his friends to plead not to go.

Before he could even say his infamous catchphrase, he was launched to the ground right next to his pig friend, who had been knocked out. "Yeah, we already tried that..." His friend with the pigtails sways nervously.
