Laughs echo in her head at the memory that had just played. She and her two best friends were playing with the other monkeys; oh, how sweet.

She remembers when the day came to an end. Wukong sat alone at his cliff, looking at a peach but didn't take a single bite out of it. He was in deep thought.

When she asked him what was wrong, he turned to look at his friend before down again. "I am lost at the moment, sworn sister." He looks up to see the stars that painted the night; a cool breeze gently hits them at the top of the mountain.

Everything felt so quiet like it was just the two of them on that mountain.

"What's wrong?"

"I worry about my immortality. My past friends. Where will I go now?"

Ah, so he worries about death. She thinks.

"You must not fret about such things when you are immortal, Wukong. Dont be afraid to make mortal friends. Thank them for the good times when they pass and find other friends."

He clenches the peach tight. "And just replace them so easily!?" He felt angry at the thought of just forgetting about them.

She soothes him with calm words. "No. But you cannot mourn for the rest of eternity, Wukong. Be grateful for your time together, and don't be afraid of loss. Be excited for the next journey you will have."

Wukong looks back at her, but she doesn't do the same. Her eyes are lost in the sky. Her back relaxes, no longer in the impossibly straight posture. She felt at ease.

"Well, I dont have to be worried about losing you..." His dreamy state makes those words slip out, and when they finally process for the both of them, they stiffen. Wukongs face is a burning red as he turns around quickly and munches angrily at the peach.

A giggle fills his ears, making him hide more in embarrassment. Her voice was so sweet. Enchanting almost.

"You are right about that, monkey."

"Well yeah, duh! I'm always right!"

He turns to face her again with a huge smile.

A laugh escapes them both. The world suddenly shined so much brighter for Wukong. This moment between them made him realize she was right. Though he loved his friends, he shouldn't focus on mourning about them when he has his current friends. Alive and well.

The lar gibbon stands up, smiling softly at the monkey king whose face only glows more in red. He swore he could see flowers circling her, her eyes meeting Wukong's big ones.

"See? Focus more on the present, and never worry about the future or the past."

"yeah... you're right."

Her memory dies out when the wave of cold air pinches her skin. She looks back at the cold and dark theater. She was setting up the crimson curtains, lost in thought.

Footsteps make their way toward her, and she slowly turns to look at the monkey, who looks around at the nice place set up by only her, even though the monkey promised to help.

He was dressed differently so that he wouldn't be noticed. He wore a long black robe with his hood down. Red highlights on the ends.

"Hey 'N/N,' nice work. Very nice. Maybe adding a bit more light up in here, you know, like a breakfast nook! It would be perfect for the play." He smirks at his joke while adding the nickname Mei calls her, making her scoff.

"Dont call me that." She turns to look at the area again. "Lights? for a shadow play? You're a moron." She glares at Macaque, who only puts his hands up playfully.
