HEADCANONS: MACAQUES

We are forever apart,

never to be the same, forgotten in each other's memories. 

The female lar gibbon king and her two macaques were only a folktale to be told to the young.

A common nickname for the great sage is 'monkey.' When he was only a child and had recently been given his new name, his right-hand woman always complained about it.

"Agh, get me some more fruit. will ya, monkey?" Sun Wukong turns to look at the lar gibbon, who is in a cranky mood, you can tell by her informal words and how she rubs her head on the pillows she is surrounded by, and little monkeys hug her large bed. 

This side of her is never shown to others. Such improper words would immediately stop her training to become one of the Flower Fruit Mountain's wise monkeys, if she hadn't been training for centuries, it would have slid, but once you have fully devoted to training, no mistake can be made.

"Yeah, yeah. I have a name, you know!? It's Sun Wuko--"

"I don't care!!" She cuts him off before facing away from the monkey king. 

Wukong is choked by Y/N, who quickly grabs his red robe to pull him down; a huge spear slightly grazes him on his left cheek. "you saved--"

"Shut up, monkey. We have other things to worry about." Realizing what she has done, she pushes monkey king to the ground with his robe when he tries getting up.

She still calls him that. What could she say?  It was a bad habit.

Y/N was previously mated to Macaque, but both cannot remember the long-time event. Maybe the elders had something to do with it...

Y/N is like those quiet sidekicks who's really reserved and has like 0 screen time but is an important character to Macaque. (It's hard to involve her...) 

Y/N has always hung with the elder monkeys since a young age. She considers them as her blood.

Wukong and Y/N's first impressions of each other weren't the best. A soon-to-be wise monkey and an impulsive and rude monkey fought for the last stone fruit on a tree which caused them to both fall and land on an elder monkey. Both were punished and told to befriend each other.

Macaque and Y/N always seem to understand each other without saying anything, which is best for the two. They've never been a big fan of talking, especially about problems. 

Wukong wasn't a fan of Y/N, only a bit for her undeniable charm, but other than that, it took a few centuries until he finally warmed up to her. 

Y/N was offered a high-ranking place in heaven, but she can't remember that offer anymore. Maybe the elders had something to do with it...

The elders...

Who were they again? She cant seem to remember.
