My eyes opened slowly. I was now facing away from Tyler. It was still dark in the room. His hands felt larger and colder. I furrowed my brows and turned my head to see a big eyed alien looking thing. It was hovering over the bed above me with its hand rested on my hip as it let out an animalistic yell. My eyes widened in fear as I jumped from the bed.

I jumped awake. My breathing was shaky. I looked over at Tyler who's eyes were squinted as he slowly sat up. "Y/n? Are you ok?" He said in a lower than usual tone. I didn't answer. I just sat there frozen. My hands gripped the bed sheets as I looked forward. "Hey what happened?" He placed his hand on my shoulder as he got closer to me. I looked at him and slowed my breathing. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you up... I just had a bad dream." I sighed.
"It's ok, im not worried about you waking me." He laughed. "You want to talk about it?" He asked sweetly. "No no, I'm all good. I'm over it now." I smiled. "What time is it?" I asked. He reached over grabbing his phone. the screen lit up his face. "1:30 ish" he looked at me. "Let just go back to sleep." I smiled. "We will, but first... can I kiss you?" He asked with a smirk.
I nodded and he leaned toward me. He looked at my lips before his pressed gently against mine. He kept them there for a few seconds before slowly pulling away. "Thank you." He said as that same smirk reappeared. My smiled widened as we laid back down. I turned to him wrapping my arm around him. He was laid on his back. His hand quickly rested on my back. I drifted off to sleep shortly after.
*13 days later*
I am currently walking out of class. Classes are pretty boring. I do enjoy practicing my skills when I'm in my room alone, or out in town. I fuck around and put random shit in peoples mind. It's entertaining to watch their shocked expressions, panicked little jumps, ya know all that. I walked to my room happy the day was finally over. Me and tyler have hung out a few times wanting to get to know each other more. I don't want to jump into a relationship especially when we only met like a week ago?
But I feel like I recognize him from somewhere... I just can't quite figure out where. I found out Eugene was in the hospital the day I left Tyler's. Enid told me. I was grateful he was alive. I really do wonder who this monster is... Wednesday says it's 100% human. Which kind of scares me. It could be anyone. I hope it's no one from nevermore. The people here are mostly kind, and if it's someone in the school they have easy access to any of us.
I walked into my room seeing Enid and thing sitting on my bed. I smiled looking around. She decorated for me. (Imagine it looks however you want 😩) I admired every inch of the room. It gorgeous. Wasn't too over the top or underdecorated. "Enid!" I said surprised but happy. "You like it?" She stood up smiling. "I love it! You've always known my style." I laughed. "Well of course! You've been one of my closest friends for like what almost 2 years now??" She smiled.
"Well thank you Enid." I hugged her tightly. Of course she hugged me back. "Anything for you y/n!" She said as we pulled away. Wednesday walked in, and of course her expression was blank. Her hands were my her side as she approached us. "Parents weekend... do they stay here the whole weekend? Or is it more of a 'stay a day' thing." She questioned. "Well they call it parents weekend for a reason." Enid tilted her head.
I looked to the side then back at Wednesday who was now looking at me. "Enid leave us for a moment." Enid furrowed her brows looking at me before leaving the room. Thing suddenly crawled onto Wednesday's shoulder. "I know you killed your parents y/n." She stepped forward. "Well no shit, I figured you knew because of what you said when we met." I looked down as guilt washed over me.
"Well, since you have no family to attend to for parents weekend. I figured you could help me." She tilted her chin up a bit. "With?" I raised my brows. "I need you to scope out the woods. I will be too busy with my headache of a family. They want to do too much with me tomorrow." She said holding out a folded paper. "Find this. I was supposed to go back with Eugene but he disobeyed my orders to not go alone." She finished as I grabbed the paper.
"Why exactly am I going there?" I unfolded the paper and examined the image. It appeared to be a cave with the same big eyes alien looking thing from my nightmare. My eyes widened and I looked at Wednesday who was examining every one of my reactions. "Just examine it. And if you find anything important, tell me." She paused for a moment staring at my face. "Based on your expressions, you have me under the impression you are familiar with the monster."
"I um. I saw it in my dream last night." I swallowed lightly. "What happened, in your dream?" She tilted her head down in curiosity. "I was laying in bed and I turned around and saw the monster... but it was wierd, i had never seen it before. But it was in my dream." I sighed. "Who were you with?" She questioned me quickly. "No one." I lied. I only lied just in case tyler was involved, and if that was the case I wanted to figure it out for myself. "When did you have this dream?" She continued her series of questions.
"The night of the rave'n. Why?" I lifted my head up. "Strange... thats the same night Enid stayed in your room for a sleepover." Wednesday said rather slowly. Enid lied? We didn't have a sleepover. Fuck. "Well Enid CANT be the monster. She can't be." I squinted my eyes as I looked at the floor. "If you were with her, she very potentially could be the being haunting our woods with bloody murder." She walked away and left. Enid walked back in.
"What was that about?" She said. No smile this time. "It was just stuff about the monster." I said, I was more focused on what Wednesday said. If the person I was with could be the monster... that would mean it's Tyler... but it can't be, maybe it was his dad? His dad was in the house. Fuck, I've gotta figure this out before Enid gets accused.
