I was assigned another mission the following week. Go to the land of Wakanda and kill the king. I had a new ability to shapeshift. It wasn't easy but some of the guards were out, and I just joined in to make myself look like one of them and snuck in. You snuck into the palace, which was way too easy. I just need to turn invisible and phase through the walls. I found the king eating dinner with his family. There were guards surrounding the place. I picked up one of the knives and went up to him. Right when I was about to slit his throat one of the guards, the general, came up behind me and cuffed my legs and arms together. She knocked me out with some sort of gas because when I woke up, I was in this cell or container in a white room. I felt like an animal in a zoo and all the tourists, well in my case scientists were looking at me and commenting on every little thing I did.
"Princess, she is awake '' a woman said to another woman wearing a tracksuit.
"Good morning, Ms. Reign!" the woman in the tracksuit said.
"WHERE THE HELL AM I?!" I say trying to break the glass or wherever it was that was keeping me in.
"My name is Shuri and this-" she pointed to the man wearing all black who was walking in "This is my brother T'Challa".
I laid down on the bed that was in there and kept silent
"We know who you are, Ms. Reign," T'Challa said. "Oh, you want to play the quiet game. I see what you're doing Ms. Reign." About ten minutes in, Shuri pulled up a file on her laptop and started reading what was on the screen.
"River Talon Reign. age 103. Born May 19, 1920. 5'7. Fiancé James Buchanan Barnes. Hydra's top assassin. Abilities: super strength and speed, invisibility, can fly, telekinesis, energy manipulation, water, ice, fire, and shape-shifting."
I got up and looked at her "H..h..how do you know?" I was almost too stunned to speak.
"I have information on everyone, and you I have been looking into since your attempted assassination of Steve Rogers," Shuri said.
"Who's Steve Rogers?" I feel like I've heard that name before but where?
"Steve Rogers also known as Captain America," T'Challa said. I just sat there and slowly tears ran down my face.
"I can't do it anymore," I said through sobs.
"Let us help you then," T'Challa said.
I nodded and Shuri pulled up some ideas and did blood tests. I also told them about my trigger words, but I had to write it down because I was scared of what would happen.
