I was back in HYDRA's base. They washed me out, all of Shuri's hard work gone. I don't remember anything. I was under their control once again. I lost the love of my life and my memories again. I was under control for two years, until the Wakandians found me. Thank god for them. I've killed more than one thousand people, both men, women, and children. At this point, Bucky was with the rest of the Avengers living in the compound together. I was under for a year. Since they had information and some answers on me from before and from Bucky my recovery only took 6 months.
I forgot everything and had to relearn a few things, but a month or two later I managed to regain most of my memories back except the ones of Bucky. I don't remember him at all. Shuri didn't even mention to me who he was. I guess they didn't even think about it.
One day someone came to visit me in Wakanda and it was Steve and Tony. I was in my room when I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in."
"River, I want you to meet some people," Shuri said, "This is Steve Rogers and Tony Stark."
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Rogers and Mr. Stark. How may I be of service?"
"They are here to ask you to join their team. The Avengers." T'Challa said walking in.
I looked at Shuri then T'Challa and back at Shuri. She nodded at me, giving me a signal that they were good people and I can trust them.
"Hey there kid, I'm Tony. I want to offer you a place on the team. What do you think?"
I looked at T'Challa and he nodded, then he said "River you are free now. You are not under HYDRA's control. I think you should join them. It'd be good for you and you'd make a great member to be on the team."
"What do you say, River?" Steve asked.
"Okay, I'll come."
"River, do you remember Steve?" Shuri asked me.
"The name is familiar, but I don't recall anything."
"I see, maybe once you get to know him and the rest of the Avengers you will get your memory back."
"We'll pick you up in a week, River. See you then," Steve said as they all walked out of my room.
Meanwhile, Shuri explained everything to Steve and Tony, about my condition. She didn't mention my abilities, because they all already knew I was a super soldier, but they didn't know I had a little more than just super strength and speed.
A week later I said goodbye to Shuri and T'Challa.
"You can always come and visit the River. You are family to us," T'Challa said while hugging me.
"Here take this. It's a Kimoyo necklace since I know you don't like bracelets. You can call me anytime you want," Shuri said as she put the necklace on me.
"I love you guys, thank you for everything," I said while hugging them.
I got in the car and the man started driving. I guess a new chapter of my life has started.
