CHAPTER 19 - BUCKY'S POV (PART 2)

Steve and I were in the gym training. Then all of a sudden Sam came in.

"BUCKY!!!! WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU DID IT AND WENT ON A DATE?!?!"

Steve and I turned around in confusion.

"WTF? Why do you want to know?"

"He hasn't been on a date since the 1940s," Steve said.

"WE'RE SIGNING YOU UP WITH A MATCHMAKER"

The three of us went to Sam's room. He pulled out his laptop and went to a matchmaker website. Steve and Sam made me sign up for a matchmaker.

"Why am I doing this?"

"Because you haven't gone on a date since the 40s and you need to get out there."

"But I don't want to," he looks down and starts playing with his hands

I remember I was engaged to someone, but I can't remember her name. I couldn't move on, not knowing that I loved someone else and not knowing what happened to her.

"You have to move on from her, it's been years since you were engaged to her," Steve says.

"Fine I'll do it but only one girl and that's it!"

Steve and Sam high-fived each other. We got on a call with the matchmaker. We talked for a bit and we set up a profile.

"James. 5'9. Dark brown hair and blue eyes. I like trying new foods and love cats. I enjoy going on long walks and watching the sunset.

"Okay, I did that stupid matching thing. Can I go now!?!"

"Yeah, you can go now," Sam said as I walked out of his room and into mine. I took a nap for the rest of the time.

MISION TIME!

     I heard River saying she wasn't feeling well and when I looked up to where she was I saw her falling out of the chopper, unconscious. I ran as fast as I could and caught her before she fell to her death.

"Good job, Barnes, bring her to the east end. I have a car waiting for her." Tony said.

I put pressure on her wound. She was losing a lot of blood. When we got back to the compound, we rushed her to Banner's lab. Wanda, Nat, and Thor were trying to calm Peter down. Peter was hysterically crying saying that he could've done something and if he did something River wouldn't be like this. Meanwhile, Banner was getting the bullet out and trying to stop the bleeding. Tony, Steve, and I tried to do what we could to help Banner.

"Okay, I sewed her up, but...She's lost a lot of blood." Banner announced.

"Okay, then we just need to get her blood type. Jarvis pull up River's file!" Tony said.

"Pulling up Ms. Reign's file. She is -O, Mr. Stark." Jarvis said.

"I'm an -O. I can do it." I offered.

"Great! Okay, sit down, Imma hook you up to this and it'll transfer into the River."

"Steve, can you go grab some water and iron supplements for Bucky?" Bruce asked Steve.
