The Other Soldier

CHAPTER 8 - BUCKY'S POV (PART 1)

         I was assigned a mission to find the Shadow Soldier. It took a while. I had to go undercover for this. I was tired of being controlled by Hydra, so while I was looking for the Shadow Soldier I also went into hiding. After a year of looking for Shadow I found her in the mountains. I spent a week trying to figure out her schedule and figure out a plan.

I snuck into the Shadows room. Had created an illusion using a projector to make it seem like there were more people there. I drugged the person that was trained by Shadow. The drug made her think the illusions were real so she'd start fighting them. I went into Shadow's room, knocked her out from the back and threw her over my shoulder and brought her back to my apartment in Bucharest that I've been staying at for the past three months. I tied her to a chair and waited for her to wake up.

By the time she woke up it was the next night. She woke up, looked around the room then looked at me.

"Well well well look who it is. The infamous Winter Soldier" she said with a sly smirk on her face.

I went up to her, an inch away from her face and I couldn't help myself and kissed her.

"I've missed you so much River." I said, holding her chin up so she was looking at me.

"Bucky, is it really you?" tears were forming in her eyes.

"River Talon Reign. My one and only. I love you always and forever" I said untying her.

Right when he finished untying her, she jumped on to me and kissed me passionately.

"I've missed you so much Bucky. I love you always and forever."

"Where are we?"

"We're in my apartment." I said, kissing me on the forehead walking towards the kitchen.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm making us dinner love."

"Let me help you"

We made pasta for dinner and talked. It felt like when we used to sleep at my place back then. We'd cook together and just enjoy each other's company. It was awkward at first, but she warmed up eventually. After dinner River washed the dishes and I decided to come up behind her and wrap my arms around her waist.

"I've missed you so much, doll," I said, while kissing her neck.

"I've missed you too, baby."

I picked her up and brought her to my bedroom and we did it. The next morning I made her breakfast. When she woke up she was wearing my shirt and OMG she looked fine as  f***. After breakfast we went out to get her some clothes and pick up some food from the supermarket. We picked up some more pasta because she loves Italian food and some apples, because they didn't have my plums this week, but they said they'd have some shipped the following week. We hung out throughout the week and just spent time with each other like how we used to back then.

It was Monday so I decided to go back to the supermarket to see if they got the plums. We both decided it'd be safer for River to stay back, because the Wakandians were looking for her. As I was walking back to our apartment this man in the newspaper and magazine stand gave me a look. I started to walk towards the stand and the man in it started to run. I grabbed the newspaper that was laying there and it said, "WINTER SOLDIER CĂUTAT PENTRU BOMBARDAMENTUL DIN VIENA".
