CHAPTER 18 - MISSION TIME

               The next morning I woke up soaked.

"WTF!!!!" I said, gasping for air. I felt like I was drowning and I wasn't even water!?!

"RAISE AND SHINE PRINCESS!!!" a raspy voice said while laughing to himself.

I looked up and saw it was Bucky, who was holding an empty bucket, still laughing.

"WTF WAS THAT FOR??? COULDN'T YOU HAVE OPENED THE CURTAINS OR LIGHTS?"

"Payback, dolls and we have a mission. Get ready in an hour."

"IN AN HOUR??? AND YOU'RE WAKING ME UP NOW!?!?!"

"Go ask Tony."

"Okay, now get out I need to change," I said slowly rolling out of my drenched bed.

"Maybe I'll stay," he said with a smile.

"Okay then," I said, walking towards Bucky and backing him up to the door, which was near my light switch. 

He smirked as I started to take my shirt off. I forgot I wasn't wearing anything under my shirt so, yeah. He leaned in for a kiss and I kissed him back. I slid my hand down to his pants where his belt was and undone it. Then pulled away and went into my closet.

"You little tease."

"That's not all. Imma get you back Barnes, just watch me." I said and went to change. 

He had left the room by now. I got ready, trying not to think about the dream I had about Bucky. I went straight to the meeting room, everyone was already there.

"Morning River," everyone said.

"Morning everyone, so what's the mission?"

"We're trying to get into Hydra's base and delete the information they got from the shield," Tony said.

"Okay then, what's the plan?"

"Bucky and I, are going to be the ones going inside the building, everyone else is gonna take down the guards," Steve said.

"So Imma be with the others?"

"Wait hold on? Why is little miss 'princess' here going on this mission? She can beat people shit like that, but does she have any experience going on missions?" Bucky stated. I gave him a death stare. I could feel the fire building up and my eyes forming a small flame. I think Wanda noticed because she held my hand.

"River is skilled in a lot of things, Bucky. We're all learning something new about her every day!" Peter said as he ate a cookie.

"Peter's right. River, has a lot of skills, but for this mission, you're gonna be driving the helicopter," Nat said, pouring a cup of coffee for me and another for herself.

"Okay lads! Are we all set to go?" Thor asked. Everyone nodded and grabbed their gear. I went to put on my 'uniform' and went to the roof to get the chopper ready.

"Should we be trusting her?" Bucky said through the earpiece.

"We can trust her Buck, don't worry," Steve said.

We all got into the chopper, except Tony and his friend James Rhode were flying.

"River, I sent you the coordinates where to drop everyone off, you're gonna help me and Rhodes in the air, roger?"

"Roger. Okay, we're almost there. Imma count to three and y'all jump!"

Everyone nodded.

"1....2....3.. JUMP!" I yelled and everyone was off. I was getting an overview of who was going, and who was coming whose way.

"Nat, two men coming from your left, Peter help Hulk, Tony, and Rhodes, five guys are heading towards Bucky and Steve. Thor help Nat and Peter out. Barnes, Rogers are you guys in? Oh and Hulk smash!"

"Hold one...." Steve said, "Okay now we are. Where do we go?"

"Keep going straight then on your right there should be a door, watch out there are ten guards," Tony said.

About ten to fifteen minutes later.

"Done, we got it, what do you want us to do with it, Stark?" Bucky asked.

"Give it to Thor and he'll zap it with lightning," Tony said.

"Got it," Steve responded.

"Um River, can you help us here!" Peter said through the earpiece.

I looked over to where Peter, Nat, and Hulk were. I put the chopper on airplane mode, grabbed my gun, and helped them get the guys.

"THANKS, RIV!" Nat said, out of breath.

"Thor your turn!" Bucky said, throwing the USB stick in the air for Thor to zap. Within seconds the USB stick was gone.

"Thor, Barnes, Steve behind you!"

I tried helping them from the air.

"RIVER WATCH OUT!" Wanda yelled out. Before I knew it I was shot.

"SH*T! F**K!"

"River, are you okay?!" Peter asked.

"I'm fine, I just got shot..."

"River, I'm coming over, hold on!" Tony said.

"I don't feel too well..." I said, before blacking out.
