It's cold...

Everything surrounding me was darkness.

The last thing I remember was getting hit by a car after saving a little boy...

To think that I would waste my life doing something heroic.

Well, it doesn't matter anymore...

I'm dead anyway, there's nothing I can do.

No one will be sad about my death.

Ever since the day I was born, my parents didn't care about me...

I grew up without their love.

No matter how hard I try to make them proud of me, it's still useless...

Even though I always get full marks in tests and exams at my school, they still don't really appreciate it.

Maybe... just maybe...

For once, my only wish since childhood is for them to hug me...

How funny.

Getting emotional at this point.

I wonder if they are happy now that I am no longer in their lives...

"...So this is the afterlife, huh?"

Literally nothing but darkness and silence.

It's lonely here.

Nothing to do.

Suddenly a small light appeared in front of Rosalie.

"...A light?"

Out of curiosity, she reached her hand to the light.

". . !?"

Her surroundings changed.

She is now inside a white room.

Completely opposite where she came from a few seconds ago.

And then a strange voice spoke to her.

System: Congratulations! You have been selected as my new host.

"...What?"

System: Like I said you are my new host. Now, let's start our first mission—

"Just hold on for 5 seconds—I'm having a headache over here."

System: My apologies, host. I got carried away and forgot to explain to you first.

Glad you know.

System: Forgive me host.

"You can actually read my mind?"

System: Yes, host. You don't seem surprised after learning this?

"I'm dead. Nothing surprises me anymore."

System: . . .

"Anyway, what do you mean I'm your host?"

System: To answer the host's question, you are the chosen new host. And I'm your guide.

"For what?"

System: To explain clearly, the host has to do the tasks and complete the missions given to her in each different world.

"And why should I do that? In the first place I didn't agree to do this, though? It's not even the real world, right? It's a bunch of worlds that created from fictional novels."

System: There is a reward.

"Oh? What kind of reward?"

System: A chance to live again in real world.

". . !"

System: What can you say host? Not a bad offer, right?

"...I refuse."

System: . . .?! Host, why? I mean you were given a chance to restart your life!

"No special reason. I'm just too tired."

System: Come on, host. You've got nothing to lose anyway. Would you rather spend in darkness and silence?

". . ."

Right...

It's cold and lonely here.

On second thought, the offer is actually not bad.

System: Did you finally decide host?

"...Can you stop reading my mind? Invading my privacy, this is illegal you know?"

System: Host, I'm sorry. I can't do it."

"Hysss... Forget it. Oh right, you haven't told me your name yet."

System: I don't have a name. I'm just merely called system, host. I like it this way.

"Then system, before you transfer me to the first world what is the main mission to this journey?"

System: To prevent the male leads from blackening!

"Okay, got it. Let's go."

System: All right host! I will now transfer you to the first world in a minute.

After nodding to what the system said, at the exact minute everything glowed.

Rosalie gradually lost consciousness.
